Volley ball techniques No.1.

Dig/Forearm Pass: In the game of volleyball, the act of digging describes a pass of a hard-driven ball from the other team. In other words, digging is the act of stopping the ball from hitting your side of the court after the opposing team has either spiked or served it to your team.
Keywords for correct technique No.1 ARMS STRAIGHT AT 90 DEGREES • Be "ready" with arms at 90 degrees from your body. • Bend at the waist - shoulders forward - hips back. • Maintain 90 degree angle between arms and upper body. • Legs should also be bent. SWEET SPOT • Ball should come off the same spot on lower forearms (just above the wrists) each time. • The ball should be contacted at hip level as often as possible. HIPS AND ONE • Keep hips BACK during pass. • If you need to swing your arms, the arms should swing in only one direction (toward target) while passing.

REDIRECT • Make sure your forearms face in the direction you want the ball to go. • Start out facing the server, and always face the ball when you pass. SHUFFLE STEPS • Move to the ball without crossing your feet. • Try to get to the spot before the ball does.

Volleyball Technique No.2
Set.

Set: The Setter is the most important player; it puts the ball out to the attacker (spiker). It is usually the second contact that a team makes with the ball. It is an overhead pass used to change the direction of the dig and puts the ball in the air in such a way that it can be driven by an attack (spike) into the opponent's court.

• Make a triangle with your thumbs and forefingers touching each other at the tips • Place your triangle right above your forehead • Now separate your forefingers and thumb by an inch or two and cup your hands in the shape of the ball • When the ball is passed, move your feet quickly to get your forehead directly under the

The positions required for court volleyball are quite different from beach volleyball. Court volleyball requires there to be six people on each side of the court. The players wear knee pads and ankle braces to protect their bones and joints, and they wear tennis shoes for traction and foot protection. Each player has a specific job. There are passers, blockers, hitters, setters, and defensive specialists; generally there is one of each, with an additional hitter, although everyone on the court can play almost any role at a given time. Since there are so many people on the court, there is a higher chance of one of the players touching the ball and keeping it in play than it hitting the floor and becoming a dead ball.…

The first step is totally effortless: the ready position. Before the ball crosses the net, you should have your feet in a wide but comfortable stance. After your feet are shoulder width apart, bend greatly at the knees. Also, angle forward at the waist and put your weight on your toes. Hold arms loose somewhat in front of your body but, do not attach your hands yet.…

First of all you need to practice the techniques close to the basket and gradually move out. The second step is to get your feet and shoulders squared to the basket. Make sure to keep your eyes on the basket and basketball at all times! Even if you are in a game situation don't flinch if a defensive player is approaching. Keep your head up and get ready to follow your shot for the rebound. Grab the ball and place it on your knee. Put your fingers on the black lines outlining the ball. Place you left hand index finger on the line. With your other hand place the dot between your index and middle finger. This will help you get a better grip and rotation on the ball and will certainly swish the ball through the net! Pull the ball up to about eye level, either higher above eye level or below it. Just put it in the position where you can see the basket at all times! If you have a higher release there is a less chance of your opponent being able to block your shot. Bend your elbow to about a one-hundred eighty degree angle. Be sure that your elbow does not pop out. For that will cause your shot to go either left or right. Bend your knees to about a ninety degree angle; push off the balls of your feet. Leap of the ground like a spring. As you are jumping out from the air push the ball towards the basket. Be sure to have as much arc as possible. The more arc you have the better chance you have of making a basket. When you have a flat shot you only have a little window to make it in.…

The bottom tip of the ball should be aligned directly under your chin. You should place your dominant hand on the laces of the ball, similar to how a quarterback grips the football. The offhand is the guide hand and is placed on the middle of the ball opposite the dominant hand. The middle finger should be aligned parallel to the seam of the ball, pressing the palm into the ball and forcing it into the power hand. You need to roll and cock the power hand, which forms a slight bend in the wrist, and turns the laces of the ball toward the ground. The placement of the dominant hand is crucial. First, place the first knuckle of the index finger across the seam of the ball. Second place the middle finger and ring knuckles between the 2nd and 3rd laces of the ball, keeping them close together. Thirdly, place the little finger across the bottom seam of the ball. Lastly, place the thumb around the ball, forming a natural "V" with the index finger and thumb. The placement of the guide hand is also crucial. First, place the middle finger down the seam of the ball. The height of the middle finger on the seam helps determine…

Preliminary Phase: In the starting position of the serve the foot of the non-serving should be parallel with the baseline and the non-serving shoulder should be aimed at the target. The first movement is to bend at the knees and hips to load the weight of the body onto the balls of the feet. While the knees and hips bend, the non-dominant arm tosses the ball straight up and the dominant serving arm is cocked back into position.…
