4- Firm Concentration Ratio( CRm= Σmi=1 si )
.15+.10+.8+.8= .41 or 41%

Herfindahl Hirschman Index ( )
Lower Bound:
.152 + .102 + .082 +.082 + .072+.072 + .042 = 0.0567
Upper Bound:
.152 + .102 + .082 + .082 + .072 +. 072 + .042 + .042 + .042 + .042 + .042 + .042 + .042 + .042 + .042 + .042 + .042 + .012 = .0728

Some of those technologies are; IEEE 802.11e- which defines a modification through the MAC layer, IEEE 802.1p- which defines 8 different classes of service for traffic on layer 2-wire internet (including one dedicated to voice), and ITU-T G- which provides a way to create a high speed LAN using existing home wiring .…

Butler’s Information Resources department played a major role in establishing the new VoIP system at Butler University. The IS department began this entire project by first researching the current system at Butler and identifying what they currently had, and what they needed. They looked at the features provided by Centrex and how their current system worked and developed a plan of what they needed to improve and add to their system. Butler’s IS department researched other systems, listened to vendor presentations, and set up interviews with numerous potential providers in order to narrow down their decision of what system they would be installing. The IS department came across a system called VoIP that was extremely intriguing to them. Although it was a fairly new and expensive system, they saw it as an opportunity to improve their current system drastically. “Only twelve to thirteen percent of the market had VoIP installed in 2004. Even though the telecommunications landscape was changing with an emerging trend of increasing IP lines, the current statistics were still daunting and left us wondering if this was a good path to…

The static view of competition focuses on the market structure as the key determining factor in the performance and behaviour of firms. It is the neoclassical approach of competition, origination from the work of economist’s Cournot and Edgeworth. This traditional view sees market structure as rigidly determining firm 's conduct (its output decisions and pricing behaviour), which yields an industry 's overall performance, such as its efficiency and profitability. Firms limit their behaviour to a certain industry model or strategic logic that is built on frequent price cuts, in order to out-compete rivals and deter entry. An industry is considered competitive depending on its market structure. At one extreme is perfect competition, which is considered perfectly competitive. At the other extreme is a monopoly structure, with a sole producer, characterised by low competition. In between the spectrum is an oligopolistic structure, and a monopolistic structure. These structures embody less competition than in perfect competition, but more than in a monopoly situation. The characteristics of competitive markets are thus large number of firms, or in other words a low…
