This week I decided to go to an art museum for the first time in my life. I went to the Blanton Museum of Art on the University of Texas at Austin campus. The museum is very beautiful inside and what I liked the most is how the rooms for different art work set the moods of the paintings that were inside. It had a great flow from room to room as well. All of the lighting in each room was different as well which helped set the mood and feelings of the paintings and their themes.…

Nearly fifteen feet long, located on the Sundeck of the High Line between 14th and 15th streets, lies the Sundeck Preserve (High Line Design). It is a wide path of glistening clear water that is vaguely surrounded by an array of grassy plants hanging down over the barrier that stands between the lower level and upper level of the walkway. If standing from a certain angle quite above the wet surface, the rays of sunlight are visible through the spaces between the long drooping ends of the oriental grasses. The careless stream of water trickles slowly and steadily, low to the ground like a quiet creek. Vents separate the water-glazed walkway from the dry side of the pavement as the water seeps into the perimeter of the narrow grates lining the edge of the wet concrete. Children and adults alike kick off their flip flops and shoes to waddle across the water-sprinkled walkway, allowing the cold water to comfort their sun-kissed…

When there is a war, the media is in a constant debate on whether they should show images straight from the war scenes to the public while the war is happening. Graphic images from the war in the media has been a big debate in America because of the fact that majority of the society do not want to see those types of images. Instead of the media showing graphic images they tend to shy away from the war or try to sugarcoat what is going on so in reality Americans do not know what is truly happening in the war unless they are directly affected by a loved one dying.…
