Vineyard Community Center Case Study

Vineyard Community Center provides a friendly and heart warming environment that opens up to anyone of different cultural backgrounds. Residing on 6000 Cooper Rd. Westerville, Ohio 43081 and 171 East fifth Avenue, Columbus, Ohio 43201. They offer services such as Afterschool Program for children to Free Health care shows a wide range of what this community center does to benefit the Columbus Community. Vineyard Community Center was created by Vineyard Columbus Church in March of 2006 under the mission to transform the city of Columbus through love and good deeds. The Vineyard Community Center is for everyone! Unlike most Community Centers a paid membership isn’t required to enter any of the programs. Although, some of the programs might require some fees like: Ballet, sport after school program and more. It provides different programs such as GED Classes, Writing workshops, Photography, and lots more for youth and adults. But it doesn’t stop with programs: Vineyard also provides services like Early Childhood Center (provides full time childcare from children 6 weeks to 5 years, rates vary), After School Program & Summer Program
Most of their staff are volunteers, They have close to1000 volunteer working at the center. On my visit to Vineyard community Center, I noticed the nice, cheerful, and welcoming atmosphere once I walked in. Most of the health care workers were volunteers. I had the opportunity to talk to some of them about the services they offer, some of the patients came for check up, diabetes, hypertension and chronic pain. They were very enthusiastic about their work. I also spoke to couple of the patient about their experiences.
