VINAMILK:
a) Strength * Economies of scales when Vinamilk is well positioned as a leader in dairymarket of Vietnam. * Vinamilk is undoubtedly a familiar and trusted brand in the mind of Vietnamese consumers during the last 34 years. 1. Strong brand, According to Euromonitor, Vinamilk has been the number 1 dairy player in Vietnam for the three years ending 31 December 2007. 2. The company is the leading enterprise of the milk processing industry , currently occupy 75% of the milk market in Vietnam (37% of the Vietnamese market) * An extensive distribution network located nationwide and continued being expanded over time allows Vinamilk to bring its core products toconsumers in a fast and effective way. 1. Strong domestic distribution network of 220 distributors and nearly 1.25 millions outlets covered all 64 provinces. 2. Export to many countries in America, Australia, Cambodia, Irag, the Philippines, Suriname, the Maldives and the United Arab Emirates. * Vinamilk’s high-quality products are the favourite brand of consumers. 1. one of the Top 100 Strongest Brands by the Vietnamese Ministry of Industry and Trade in 2006. 2. “Top Ten High-quality Vietnamese Goods” for each year between 1995 to 2007. * Having ability to assess and stabilize the market prices. * A range of modern factories located along Vietnam that helps to reduce transportation expenses and a system of the state-of-the-art machinery and equipment, being improved and expanded every year, that helps to ensure the output products meeting the international standards. 1. 8 plants, one factory and build three new plants, with the variety of products, Vinamilk milk available on 200 products sterilized, pasteurized and dairy products. 2. Vinamilk equipes retailers with fridges and freezers. 3. Seek to communicate with these distributors and retailers through advertising and sales promotion activities.
