Vietnamese Education Problems
Vietnamese Education Problems In the process of development of country, education is always put on the priority. Nowadays, education in Vietnam meet a lot of problems need to be solved. Including, school fee, infrastructure and curriculum are three main problems make student’s difficulties and make quality of education not good at all. The first problem is school fee, which increases quickly in every year. When the development in every area does not balance, school fee is not a problem for the rich but it becomes a trouble of students, who live in poor provinces. They do not have enough money to pay, parents must work a lot and save all their earning for their children’s school fee but it is still not enough for a long course. A lot of students must delay or drop out of school because of living condition. If students want to study continuously, they have to work part time. They can’t focus on studying, so their result may be affected. There will be a big waste of Vietnamese education if good students can’t study more. Government should care more about school fee, about poor students and correct education policy in each region to decrease a number of students drop out of schools. The second problem is infrastructure. Schools don’t have enough infrastructures for teaching and studying. Most of schools lack of laboratory and machine room. Students just learn theory lessons and don’t practice, so when graduate, they work but can’t translate theory into practice. Moreover, schools in the city can have a good infrastructure, but in some area students don’t have any good condition such as school, tables, seats, boards, and books, etc. they must learn in unsettled rooms, which were built by bamboo and straw grass. If it rain, the room will be wet and leaking. So these schools are not safe for students and teachers. In order to solve this problem, government should invent more capital in education and attach special importance to poor or mountainous region.

Also schooling is compulsory for students until the age of fifteen. After finishing general education, almost students in Australia go on their studying at TAFE (Technical And Further Education) or colleges or universities and so do Vietnamese students. In Vietnam, family is very important; everybody in the family stays close together. It does not matter what age you are, you can still live at home with your parents until whenever you are ready to move out. Plus, you cannot have a job while you are attending high school or college. Your parents will take care of all the expenses while you are still in school. When you are done with all the schooling, have graduated with a degree, and you can work, then you can move out. Parents do that because they do not want their children to worry about anything else. Students can do well in school, get out with high degrees, and find good jobs. Though, some college students still work very little hours tutoring high school students to help out the family. Vietnamese people, even when they are married, have kids, or move out of their parents’ homes, are still close within their cities or counties. These habits and customs have infiltrated into every aspect of Vietnamese society.…

Approximately 75 million children around the world have no opportunity to attend primary school. Of the 75 million, most of them are girls due to tradition or parents that hold them back from attending ("Main Navigation"). Other factors that affect children from going to school is because of conflicts and wars that result in schools to be destroyed and families to flee the country. Lack of education is a growing crisis due to many factors in developing countries but it has the power pull a country out of poverty and make them economically stable and attract other countries to trade, therefore it should be seen as a priority. Developed countries are involved to help countries increase their education because every child should have the right to education and be able to have access to education to learn so they can lead and help the future. Developing countries have insufficient budgets dedicated to education, a poor quality of teaching and learning environment and lastly kids too poor to attend school due to costs.…

Education is the root of development of every country all over the world and Vietnam is not an exception. But after what I had been experienced I thought that Vietnamese educational system is still weak. It's weak because of so many problems that exist on such as bad teaching quality; lecture does not go together with practice and high tuition's fee. Furthermore, the training is not linked with students' majors. And those problems will ruin the Vietnamese educational system if they don't change.…

Education has always had a central role in Vietnam culture and society. It is seen as the avenue of advancement and families routinely sacrifice much to ensure their offspring get the required education. As a country with over 86 million people and with more than 60% under the age of 35 (Source: General Department of Statistics of Vietnam, 2009), Vietnam’s education needs for this young population are huge. The government also pays a lot of attention to its education system. Currently, education occupies approximately 20% of all state budget expenditures and accounts for 5.5% of GDP (source: Department of Finance and Planning, MOET, 2008). However, the inadequate quality of higher education system in Vietnam is still a thorny challenge in Vietnam and requires effort from both the government and the society to resolve.…
