Vasco da Gama is a famous explorer from Sines,portugal. His date of birth isn't confirmed but it is guessed that he was born around 1460. Vasco was born in a wealthy family with power , so from the start he had a great opportunity to become great. Being from a wealthy family with great connections he was able to get an excellent education. He became extremely talented when it came to math and navigating. Vasco joined the navy as soon as he could the skills that he learned from school made him very successful. In 1492 vasco was given an order by King John II to seize french ships in retaliation for the french attacks on portuguese ships(1of4).
