Varmint Character Analysis
The Characters I choose are Chisnall and Varmint. Chisnall is the main protagonist and the leader of the angel team which is a team that is going to invade Australia and get it back from the aliens that have invaded it. Varmint is the leader of the demon team that is helping the angel team by blowing up things. Chisnall and Varmint are very courageous. They took the fate of the world on their back. Chisnall volunteered to join the angles and Varmint volunteered to join the demons. Along with putting the fate of the world on their back they are leading the teams that are saving the planet. I know that this takes a lot of courage because their entire team depends on them to succeed and if they give the wrong call it would be their fault and being …show more content…
Throughout the book they were faced with many different problems such as things getting in their way and things not going their way. They persisted through that and then they succeeded. Now some differences between the characters. First of all Varmint has no mercy. In the book Varmint will kill anything he can. That is why he is part of the demon team. When there was a Bzadian solider in his way he did not have to kill him. He could of just left the man alone and minded hi own business but he killed him. On the other hand Chisnall has lots of mercy. He was involved in a mission before called Uluru. What happened is that the mission was the cause to a lot of deaths. So throughout the book Chisnall was very sad about the incident which shows he cared about the families he destroyed. Another difference is that Varmint likes to break the rules. In the book when they were fighting the Aliens they were not allowed to use real ammunition for their guns because the Angel and Demon team were made of teenagers and people did not want them to use real guns. When they were fighting the Demons team took ammunition from the aliens and used it for themselves. Chisnall on the other hand used the right ammunition the entire …show more content…
When the Angel team was entering the base they were stealthy. They knew that if they were too loud they might become noticeable and give away their position. Varmint just goes in guns blazing. While he still went in a bit stealthy with his team he did blow up things in general. So as you can see Chisnall and Varmint are quite similar other than the fact that Varmint is more of a “crazy”

Bravery was a very important theme in the novel, The Silver Donkey, by Sonya Hartnett. It was shown all the way through, not only in the Lieutenant but also in the sisters as well as the donkey in the many tales told. The first display of bravery was from the Lieutenant himself, when he decides to run away from the war despite of the consequences and his temporary blindness. Lieutenant Shepard hides away in the forest after stealing an old man’s clothes. The girls, when finding the soldier were brave enough to confront the mysterious man and then later keep his identity.…

While reading the book, we find out that Mrs. Hedges works for Junto he is also interested in Ms. Hedges but unfortunately since they are not the same race the two cannot be lovers. While Mrs. Hedges runs a whore house for Junto; which is common within the working class where people go to satisfy their needs we find out that Ms. Hedges is very loyal to Junto in the business and is also to not mess up her own source of money. ‘Mis Hedges won’t let him come in no more’ Mary said. ‘He spent all his money. And she says she aint in business for her health.’ (page 188) The scene with Mary and the sailor out in the hall foreshadows the loyalty Ms. Hedges have towards Junto because if Junto didn’t look over Ms. Hedges how she would not actually be in business to have her whore house, police would more than likely shut that down instantly.…

First of all when I was younger there was this dog that was very vicious. One day it had started chasing my cousin; it was about to bite him so I pushed my cousin out of the way. I then drew the dog’s attention towards myself and got my cousin away from the dog. I outran the dog almost getting bit a good amount of times. By risking myself getting bitten by the dog to help my younger cousin out I was showing bravery. Ty from Street Pharm and the IRA sniper from “The Sniper” show the trait bravery through never showing their fear and always fighting for their survival.…

The first and foremost, is Jeremy “Jem” Finch. One example is while sneaking onto the Radley property Nathan Radley shoots at them, and while escaping he gets his jeans caught in the fence. The brave part is how he returned later to the property to retrieve his pants, which had been folded. Another courageous moment is when a mob gathered to lynch Tom Robinson, Jem sneaks out with Scout to face the crowd. Jeremy also sits in the colored balcony, and that adds to their judgement from others. He also shows strength when Bob Ewell breaks his arm and he takes it pretty well. This all shows courage as Maycomb is a racist town, and he is defending a black man. They continue to do so even when Scout and Jem get bullied in school for it.…

Throughout the whole novel Ultraviolet, which was written by R.J. Anderson, the main character Alison’s assumptions of Dr.Minta, her mom and Tori had changed a lot. She trusted that every person appeared to be the way she could see with her naked eyes at the beginning until Faraday told her “everybody has a story” (Anderson 267). Climbing a mountain, riding that roller-coaster, or even fighting for in the military all have something in common. Some hide and are scared from the unknown, and others grab it by the neck. Diving into the middle of the ocean or being kidnapped and brought to a county hundreds of miles away, some people embrace their true courage in many different ways. Courage is defined by the Oxford English Dictionary as “The ability to do something that frightens one.” Courage was a strong theme expressed in the main characters of Left for Dead, Nightfall, and Crystal Cave, but is displayed in short parts to show how fast and courageous the characters are.…
