Varena Alternate Ending
The sun had only been up an hour when Varena rose from her slumber and lingered downstairs to find some food. Only people who take the effort to get up in the morning get to appreciate the morning, and that was something Varena did often, rising hours before her two house-mates and enjoying the quiet time it offered. She went downstairs to Dinis spinning in circles and pulling his hair and Kaiden projectile vomiting on the couch, Plato trying to hold a jar to his mouth. “Dinis this is your job! Get your ass over here!” “I can’t Plato! What the fuck is happening to him!” “Hey! What the hell is wrong with Kaiden?” Varena said coming down the stairs. “We don’t know sweetie but it’s nothing too bad.” Plato said smiling as Kaiden hurled across …show more content…
Kaiden had not moved. More importantly at that moment he couldn’t find his pipe. It wasn't where he left it. He went upstairs when he heard a noise and he stopped outside of Varena’s closed door. He heard voices inside. He slammed his palm on the door to open it and the girls jumped and screamed. Dinis laughed. “Dinis! Don’t do that.” “Why?” “You scared the shit out of us.” “Good.” “Looks like this is mine and Buka’s bowl then.” “And that’s my pipe.” “So?” “So i want it back or i want to smoke a bowl.” “We’ll see.” He said and laid down on the bed staring at the floor. Varena hit the bowl, Buka hit the bowl, and once Dinis got the pipe he stood up and walked out. “Hey! Dinis come back.” He didn't answer. “Dinis! Stop. Hey I’m sorry I was trying to be funny.” He sat down next to Kaiden and smoked the bowl and then started to load his own. Varena stood next to him. “Please stop Dinis.” “I want to smoke a bowl.” “Well so do we. So can we share?” “Where’s Buka’s pipe?” “It’s all the way over at her house.” “2 minutes away.” “It’s a shitty pipe.” Dinis puffed on his. “Dinis.” “Just let me smoke this bowl, I’ll be up when it’s done and we can smoke.” “Are you sure?”

Your eyes open to the bright sun peeking through the blinds, its early morning. You get out of bed and think of the things you must do that day. Who are the people getting up this early, farmers, bakers, doctors, teachers, all those nine to fivers? Well one of those morning people or larkers is not me. I could not tell you the last time I willingly got up in the morning. I have never been a morning person, and most likely will never be. Fadiman says of her husband George, that he is an early bird who believes in seizing the day. He is awake and full of energy. (62) I have a husband just like that, who wakes up naturally in the morning and is ready to go as soon as his eyes open. While he is getting ready to go to work, I have most likely just went to sleep and have not started my first rem cycle yet. Like Fadiman says, “ Dawns are all very well (though I generally see them after staying up all night, when I may be too sleepy to appreciate them), but they can’t hold a candle to a full moon, an aurora borealis, a meteor shower, or a comet.” (64). I can relate to this, as I know the sun is rising as I am writing this right now. I do know that mornings are not that bad; many things are accomplished…

Callisto sat at the long table to the right of her father, a place of honor and power. She knew there were more than a few of her brothers jealous of her position, feeling instead one of them deserved the spot. Like she had always done in the past, Callisto ignored their glares. They could moan and gripe all they wished among themselves, but the fact remained, she was the right hand of the kingdom. A lot of good it did her, sighing as the bitter thought came to mind. She couldn't change anything, all the times she attempted, father smiled at her, patting her shoulder like a child. He told her it wasn't her fault these notions came to her, part of being a woman. This infuriated her, but there was little she could do. Callisto knew she would…

I'm walking through the library with my friends at school, searching attentively for books to read. I separated from them because I went to look at fantasy novels and they weren't much of a book lover. I skim over the titles of the books and read each of the book's summary on that specific shelf. I finally found two books that I personally liked. I was excited to read both of the books as I head over to my best friend, he hasn't noticed that I'm going to approach him. This would be a suitable timing to scare him as I thought. I'm so close to scaring him until I hear him say something in the line of "Chaikira? She's ugly and fat." I took a step back, as I glance up shocked as I look at him from behind. I could hear my heart shattering. All I'm feeling was distress and…
