Utilizing Online Social Networking Sites
Social networking has expanded vastly over the years more business and organizations are now using these sites to reach potential clients. There has been a great deal of success and improvements to social media in recent times. Human service organization can benefit from social media sites because they allow organizations to maintain and develop relationships with clients as well as organization similar to them. LinkedIn is a great resource of social media that can help a human service organization network with other organization within their community as well as worldwide.
LinkedIn is a social media site that various businesses, organizations, and business professional use to stay connected. This site offers many resources that allow business professional and organizations to trade and share information they can use to acquire networking opportunities as well as a new career. Many organizations within the case managers industry offer groups, educational opportunities and employment opportunities. One organization the Commission offers case manager the opportunities to become certified. “The Commission is a nonprofit, volunteer organization that oversees the process of case manager certification with its CCM® credential” (Commission for Case Manager Certification (the Commission) | LinkedIn", n.d., p.1). This would be a great opportunity for a case manager who is looking to volunteer overseas. This organization offers an amazing opportunity for case managers that are looking to do more within the field and possible get a sense of case management in different parts of the world. This group does not state whether or not they have monthly or yearly public meetings to network with other professionals in your field
