Use Of Imagery And Irony In Tell-Tale-Heart
us an idea of what the narrator saw through his own eyes. Another quote that is used in the story that supports imagery is, “ replaced the boards so cleverly, so cunningly, that no human eye - not even his - could have detected anything wrong”. This quote uses imagery because you realize that the narrator hid the body so well that no human eye can see it. This gives us an idea of how he hid the body and what he used to hid it. In conclusion imagery, symbolism , and irony are three literary devices that were used throughout the story.
The story “ Tell-Tale-Heart”, by Edgar Allan Poe teaches us that guilt can lead to doing wrong things like killing and such. The use of symbolism in the story helped identify the evil vulture eye the old man had.

    The most prevalent example of personification in the story "The Tell-Tale Heart" is the personification of the old man's "evil eye."
