Us Embassies Research Paper
Seventeen years ago a horrific incident happened in Africa. Two bombs were set off at the U.S. Embassies in Kenya and Tanzania. U.S. Embassies are usually located in the countries' capitals, and are places for cultural exchange and diplomatic efforts (Ferguson 17-18). This attack took a lot of thinking and planning from multiple terrorists who were willing to give up their own life for killing many others, Many of these terrorists were linked back to the group Al Qaeda which translates to “the base.” All of these terrorists however remained under the power of their leader Osama Bin Laden.
The first of the two attacks on the U.S Embassies was referred to as the Nairobi Attack. Nairobi is the capital of Kenya where the explosion took place. The

Saleh was know as the mastermind of the attack. He planned the attack to perfection, and wanted it to succeed greatly. Rahmen was the bomb technician, he was able to construct the bomb to an incredible degree to crumple the Embassies in pieces. Ally was the owner of the truck that was believed to have lead the truck with the bomb to the scene. Then there was the truck that carried the bomb, it was driven by Azzan and Al-Owhali was riding in the passenger seat. They’re were both mentally brainwashed that this was the correct thing to do, which would turn out to be a suicide mission. Al-Owhali had an important task before the attack could take place. He was equipped with a pistol and several stun grenades. He was suppose to scare people away to save the lives of the Kenyan civilians. Except Al-Owhali forgot his gun in the truck, so he decided to throw his bombs at the guards and then bolted away from the scene. While this was all happening Azzan was preparing to set of the real bomb to destroy the Embassy, and Azzan did shortly after Al-Owhali fled (Trail). Al-Owhali could’ve just gone back to the truck to get his gun, and continued on with the original plan. I believe that he got scared, and rethought about the suicide mission, so he quickly left the scene in hoping not to be found. The second attack happened in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania nearly 450 miles away from Nairobi, Kenya (McGeary). Know as the Dar es

September 11th of 2001 was a day that nobody will ever forget. It was a day full of tragedy, loss, and grief. We have always been told that Osama Bin Laden and many other terrorists were the cause behind the tragic events of this day. We have always been told that he was the leader and the “bad guy”, and we have always believed it. Perhaps we have believed it because he was wanted in connection with the August 7, 1998 bombing of the United States Embassies in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania, and Nairobi, Kenya. What if this was not the case? What if it was a cover up by our own government system?…

On September 11th, 2001, Al-Qaeda members hijacked planes and flew them into national monuments, such as the Twin Towers and the Pentagon. These attacks murdered thousands of civilians, causing September 11th to forever be dedicated to mourning those whose lives ended. Osama Bin Laden, the mastermind behind this gratuitous machination, said, "’we believe that the worst thieves in the world today and the worst terrorists are the Americans. Nothing could stop you except perhaps retaliation in kind… As far as we are concerned, they are all targets.’” (“Motives for…”). One can conclude from this quote that Al-Qaeda is foreshadowing that the worse is yet to come and demanding that they will not stop interfering with our country until we surrender. These unsavory threats are made to create fear in American citizens and weaken America, so they can permanently destroy the United…

In Benghazi, Libya, September 11, 2012, the United States consulate was attacked by terrorists affiliated with Al-Qaeda. Four brave Americans: Ambassador Chris Stevens, Sean Smith, Tyrone Woods, and Glenn Doherty, were killed. The entire story of the incident has been very unclear; it seems the Obama Administration desires to cover it up. The American people, especially the families of the fallen, deserve to know the truth of the grievous assault against not only our consulate but also our country. That starts with the three main questions that need to be answered: what happened during the attack, who is responsible, and why is the Obama administration downplaying it.…

On September 11, 2001 America woke up expecting a normal day. What America did not expect was that this day was going to change history forever. On that day Islamic extremist high-jacked four U.S. airplanes with the intent of crashing them into the twin towers, the Pentagon and the White House. Two of the planes did indeed crash into the twin towers in New York City and another was used to hit the pentagon. The passengers on the last plane however, fought back, and it was landed before it could be used to hit the white house. “A decade later, what happened on Sept. 11 still resonates for much of the country. Even more Americans now say the horror of that day changed their lives.”1 These were the first attacks ever directed toward U.S. civilian population. These organized attacks lead to the need for an immediate change in the way the United States approached defending itself.…

The Oklahoma City Bombing took place on April 19, 1995. It was considered to be the worst terrorist attack that took place in the U.S. until September 11, 2001. The methods of the attack were very simple. A very large, homemade bomb was placed inside a rental truck outside the Alfred P. Murrah Federal Building. The bomb was detonated at 9:02 a.m., leaving critical damages to the building, as well as killing and wounding many others. The attack was brought about by Timothy McVeigh with the assistance of Terry Nichols. Both of these men were American citizens who had once been members of the U.S. military. An eyewitness told the authorities about McVeigh, who had conveniently already been arrested not for a traffic violation not long after the…

Since 9/11, terrorism has become a priority for law enforcement and military personnel in the United States. Even more importantly, it has turned into a "War on Terrorism." September 11th was the worst terrorist attack ever on the United States. Therefore, our government officials responded in the only way that felt suitable, attacking terrorism. The group responsible for the events of 9/11 is called the Al Qaeda. Al Qaeda is one of the most well known terrorist groups in the world. Because of past issues with the Muslim community, the United States should have been prepared for a retaliation from them. This is a problem for us here in the United States because now the thought of another attack by one of the most powerful terrorist groups in the world is always in the back of our minds (http://www.globalissues.org/issue/245/war-on-terror.)…

The day of 26th November, 2008 would have been as usual and pleasant as any other day for Mumbai but the terror attacks by the members of Lashkar-e-Taiba, considered as terrorist organisation by India, who wreaked havoc in the India’s largest city. There were ten gunmen, nine of whom were subsequently shot dead and one captured by security forces. Witnesses reported that they looked to be in their early twenties, wore black t-shirts and jeans, and that they smiled and looked happy as they shot their victims. It was initially reported that some of the attackers were British citizens, but the Indian Government later stated that there was no evidence to confirm this. Similarly, early reports of twelve gunmen were also later shown to be incorrect. On December 9, the ten attackers were identified by Mumbai police, along with their home towns in Pakistan: Ajmal Amir from Faridkot, Abu Ismail Dera Ismail Khan from Dera Ismail Khan, Hafiz Arshad and Babr Imran from Multan, Javed from Okara, Shoaib from Narowal, Nazih and Nasr fromFaisalabad, Abdul Rahman from Arifwalla, and Fahad Ullah from Dipalpur Taluka.
