Culture and opportunities abound
I understand the other side, but as a younger person, I find living near an urban center to be invaluable. Crime is rarely anything to worry about. The main reason is that in the search to find oneself, there are a plethora of opportunities in cities. You can walk down one block and experience so much culture, a bunch of different people's opinions, and be exposed to every type of art and interest. Being around such diversity makes most people relatively open-minded.

For most people, yes.
It is hard to say whether a particular style of living is better for any single person. But the historic evidence is clear that for the growth and expansion of civilization, urban centers are where ideas are exchanged, where most education and research happens, and where artistic and creative pursuits thrive the most. It is also where more people, proportionally, rise out of poverty compared to rural areas, which is exactly why Chinese gravitate toward their cities and away from the countryside. One has more opportunity. From an environment standpoint, cities are also denser and surprisingly better suited to deal with global warming.

Rural is better
Personally I love the countryside. At the age of 18 I moved to the city to go to university with no idea what urban living was like, before this I didn't think there was much difference. I found that the main advantage of being in the city was being close to amenities, but this was certainly not worth the other this I had to compromise. I was used to saying hello to people I met whilst out in my village and was unnerved by the culture in cities of not even acknowledging people unless you knew them. I also found it hard to sleep with the constant traffic noise and noisy neighbours too. The build up of buildings seemed unnatural and trapping in comparison to the open space, fields and forests I had grown up in. As a result I left the city at every opportunity I had.

Less cars, less noise, less people, less crime and sometimes people just like to live away from all the population
The rural living would be relaxing and comfortable. You dont have to listen to all the cars busses or trains. All you really hear in the rural living are birds and animals. You enjoy the scenry of the rural living. Overall i think the rural areas are so much better.

Rural living is better
Urban living is not better than rural living because of the high crime rate in the city. Also, children get involved in drugs or have drug problems. The traffic is also jammed. Whereas, rural living, in small towns, people are friendlier. There is lower crime rate. There's no traffic and people work at slower pace.

"Health Is Wealth"
Health is more important than fulfilling our extravagant needs. Dependency on technologies makes one weak. Our psychological needs like peace and pollution free environments which reduces our stress is absent in rural side. Interaction with the nature for survival is important and the crowded environment is a great threat because any disasters might wipe a lot of property in urban area but rural side have spacious structure which is less life threatening. The urban life is like a ticking time bomb you never know what might strike you.

Urban living comes with higher crime rates.
Urban living often comes with higher crime rates and drug abuse. Take Philadelphia for instance where the streets are littered with trash and many corners hold drug dealers selling drugs to both young and old. The only place where you can escape this is being in the center of the city where the University is. Talk to many of the city police, and they will suggest rural living for those who wish to relocate.

No, not for everyone
Where a person should live is dependent upon the individual and the type of lifestyle they are looking for. I grew up in a rural setting and now live in an urban area. I came to an urban area because there were more opportunities for jobs and school. However, I will not necessarily remain here my entire life.

No, urban living has become worse than rural living
At one point in time the opposite was probably true, that urban living was better than rural living. The person living in the rural setting has the clear advantage, as long as they know how to work with the challenges it can bring. Rural living allows people to grow their own livestock and produce. It gives children wide open spaces to play and grow, and access to nature and its beauty. People living in rural environments learn how to get by on far less than someone who has grown accustomed to city life, and the opportunity to form bonds with your neighbors are greater.

Living in the suburbs: is it better than living in the city if you have a family? Why would one want to live so far away from everything? Questions like these are going through the minds off millions of people around the world as suburbanization is becoming increasingly popular. But first what is suburbanization? To put it simply, it is the process of citizens migrating from the city to the suburbs (Filion and Bunting, 2015, p. 446). This has been happening largely since the mid-20th century, aligning with the popularity and easy accessibility of the automobile (Filion and Bunting, 2015, p. 28 - 29). In our modern society, the main factors that draw people away from the city and towards the suburbs is that suburban areas have less crime, are…

Who wants to walk out of their front door and see nothing but a concrete jungle filled with too many cars? certainly not me! In the country, there is space between you and your annoying neighbors. Having privacy in the city is like trying to grow an oak tree in a thimble. In the country, you can walk out of your front door and see a blue, pollution free sky, the birds are chirping, and maybe upon a distance you see a couple horses or cows. There is no curfew at night time, no annoying patrolling police officers, and you can have a bonfire at your own leisure. Cities are overloaded with people and it proves nearly impossible to step outside without being seen or heard by other people.…

The difference between city life and country life is that if you live in the city, you have barely any privacy but, in the country life there can be woods all around your house and no one can see you. In the city there are lots of apartments not really houses and in the country you have your own houses that are bigger and the more people can come over. Lastly in the city you can’t hunt, you can’t grow your own garden, and you can’t walk your dogs were would they do their business, but in the country you can have your own farm, you just let your dog’s run free, you can have your own garden and you can shoot your gun if you have one. To begin with let’s enumerate and discuss all the advantages of rural living. Firstly, in a country or in a small town there is a better environment to live in. There is less traffic in a country and as a result people living there do not have to inhale vehicle emissions as they do in any big city. On the contrary instead of polluted air you always have fresh air, country amenities such as fields, forests, valleys, rivers and lakes in a rural area. The same cannot be said about the life in a city where the atmosphere is like a periodic table; sometimes it is even possible not to find a single tree or bush in a city. And even if there are any lakes or rivers in a big town, very often swimming in them you feel as though you are a pig…

Urban areas are a lot better to grow up in compared to rural areas because of street smarts and many other socialistic endeavors. One of the benefits of living in an urban area is you get smarter when on the streets dealing with the types of people that you wouldn’t otherwise see in the country. There are the homeless, muggers, dealers, people that you will know how to avoid instead of getting drawn into them or being tricked into doing stupid things for them. You might just see them as a normal person if you moved in from the country in to a big city. You would probably learn over a great deal of time the difference between them and your average person. Really, you might not understand all that could happen in the streets.…

    Country Better Than City

Firstly, the environment in the countryside is much more relaxed and peaceful compared to the city. The UK newspaper, The Cornish Guardian, quotes: "It’s official: country living beats the hustle and bustle of city life. People living in the South West countryside are more pleased with their lives than those residing in the city or London, according to new research." There is no pollution, less traffic, less noise, less factories, fewer crimes and quiet nights – what could be better? There are also beautiful landscapes and views in the country without the disturbance of cars and roads in the way. Another great aspect of country environment is that it is clean and fresh, away from litter and dust. Not only is the city polluted in the air and water, it is also noisy, crowded and congested. The noise can be caused by aeroplanes, trains, motorbike hoons, car horns, loud music and neighbour’s parties. There is also light pollution, caused by too much fluorescent lights from malls and offices. Consequently, country environment is clearly better compared to the city in many ways.…

First of all, living in a big city is more modern than one in countryside. In countryside, the life is very peaceful and safe. Many people would live in large cities rather than the countryside because they believe there are more advantages in residing in metropolitan areas than remote areas. The first reason might be employment. You can not live without having a job if you are not wealthy enough, so getting a desired job and working at a well reputed company is the first choice for a majority of people. Apparently, these jobs are mostly available in developed cities, not in rural areas. When looking for employment, it is going to be more challenging when exploring rural areas. When it comes to finding a job in rural areas, the lack of economic diversity means it is difficult for people to find work. In addition, it is much more difficult for the disadvantaged people to find work in rural areas compared to urban areas.…
