Many people believe that women make better parents than men and that is why they have the greater role in raising children in most societies. Others claim that men are just as good as women at parenting. Nobody denies the fact that both father and mother play a significant role in teaching children. However, one of two parents has better abilities to nurture their child. This essay will illustrate the issue. As far as I am concerned women have a greater role which is irreplaceable in bringing up their kids. This is not to say that men are not of importance in child-rearing indeed, they are most necessary that is why children have to appreciate fully the roles of both. But women are better at parenting because of their conditioning, their less aggressive natures and their generally better communication skills. A good example of this is from the time they are little girls, females learn about nurturing. First with dolls and later with younger siblings. Girls see their mothers in the same roles and so it is natural that they identify this as a female activity. Secondly, with having maternal instinct, mothers can recognize when children meet troubles in life. Furthermore having a close interaction with their child, mothers can give meaningful advice helping children to solve problems.  On the other hand, fathers also participate in nurturing children. One advantage is that fathers have strong psychology which children in adolescence can rely on. A further advantage, fathers provide financial conditions, which helps children to apply for good university or even start their own business career at the early age because the father is the breadwinner of the family. Moreover, father will do everything to accommodate children’s needs. Equally important, fathers have social relationships more than mothers and they are more aware of different social issues, so they can guide their children on every step of children’s life. Taking everything into consideration, both of them are important to build a happy family but maternal role is essential in raising children. It is often said that "men make houses, women make homes", however, I still believe that both mother and father are equally importance at children’s successful rearing.
