Unwritten Poem Meaning
Why does music make us feel something ? Do they have a meaning, do they represent anything? Yes, songs could have very powerful meanings that could lead to something very special. Unwritten by Natasha Bedingfield is a song about you being able to express yourself, live life to the fullest, do what your heart tells you because no one else can. Ya gotta be by Des’ree is a song about having the inner strength to figure out who you are, and how i’m stopping myself and thinking everyday how you gotta be something, You have to be cool and calm in one situation, and then you have to be bold and strong in another situation. These two songs could represent or mean something or its even giving a message to others to encourage them to do something that …show more content…
The lyrics “Live your life with arms wide open today is where your book begins the rest is still unwritten” from the song unwritten is basically saying see what the future is detaining for you and letting you know you could start over again. While the lyrics “Remember listen as your day unfolds challenge what the future holds try an keep your head up to the sky” from Ya gotta be is saying wait and see what the future is holding for you and don't let anything bring you down. These two parts of lyrics both mean that don’t rush into anything, wait and be patient and don't let anything bring you down. The lyrics “Open up the dirty window Let the sun illuminate the words that you could not find” from unwritten is telling you let the words come out and stand up for what you think is wrong , don’t be afraid. The lyrics “Go ahead realize your fears stand up and be counted don’t be ashamed to cry” from Ya gotta be is saying go ahead and release what you have been hiding and don’t be afraid. The 2 text are similar because they are saying that don’t hold back and don't let anyone or anything bring you down, be brave be confident and stay strong. The text “No one else can feel it for you only you can let it in no one else, no one else can speak the words on your lips” from unwritten is saying don't let anyone do something for you, you

Music has always been a part of us ever since the begging of time. It’s been with us threw the happy, great times and also for the not so happy bad times. We can express ourselves with music by telling a story with in the lyrics and even with the beat showing, telling how we are feeling. It can be a cheerful, carefree, joyful beat, to gloomy, mournful, blue beat, but not everyone has the same taste in music. Music it’s self is unbelievably stunning and so breathtaking.…

Daniela Suarez Prof. Rosen- Gonzalez SPC1017 20 January 2015 “Music Swims Back To Me”: Daniela Suarez’ Edition “Music pours over the sense, and in a funny way, music sees more than I. I mean it remembers better.” I feel like Anne Sexton gathered up all of my feelings, all of my thoughts, interpreted them, and placed them in two sentences and twenty words. I’m sure each and every one of us has encountered a tough situation and later crossed paths with a song so relatable, you begin to shed a few tears. For me, music goes way beyond that.…

Music is used to help people of every ethnicity, religion, and lifestyle, cope with different struggles, times of enjoyment, and life itself. But, what is it about music that makes it so therapeutic? It’s the fact that no matter what the genre of music is, it’s what message that artist is putting out into the world. It’s the beat, the tone, and the emotion behind the lyrics is what makes listeners feel the way they do because it speaks on a specific aspect of life and what someone can be going through.…

Dick Clark once said, ¨Music is the soundtrack of your life.¨ Music is one of the most powerful and influential things in my life. Without the melodies and harmonies of music, my life would feel bland and meaningless. I have a very busy schedule and sometimes it is too easy to lose meaning in my everyday tasks, but with music I am able to keep meaning in my life. I use music to get me through the activities of my everyday life. Whether it is cleaning my room, doing homework, or just relaxing, music makes everything better. I think that music can convey feelings and emotions extraordinarily well. When words cannot do the job, music can. Along with that, I think that music accompanies memories very well also. Going back to Dick Clark’s quote, I think I would be able to make a timeline of my life just using song titles, albums, and…

In some way music shows who you are in some way, shape, or form, just like in, The Hobbit, where you can find out what a character is like from hearing their very own music. The dwarves made you want to go somewhere, with their in detail perspectives of the mountains. Then the elves, who seemed to be upbeat most of the time, but did everything they could to show hate to the dwarves and their beards. After that you run into the all so evil goblins, who despised absolutely everyone but their own kind, and sang about how they would traumatise…

Music can bring out emotions and forgotten memories. Music serves as a powerful cue to recall emotional memories back into awareness. We all have a ton of emotions that control how we act and what we say. Our emotions are triggered by many things. One of those things is Music. At a funeral for one of my family members a song by Whitney Houston was played. Now it is long after that day, but my mother cannot listen to Whitney Houston, because it triggers her past feelings of loneliness and sadness. Music does not always bring out hurtful memories; it actually aids you in finding what is important to you as an individual. Two people can listen to the same song and can convey two entirely dissimilar statements. Humans need music to openly express their emotions, because without it, the world becomes so bleak and dull.…

Most of the lyrics have a way of positively striking you in the feelings. For instance, when you are growing up your parents talk about how cute you were when you were born, my Dad would say that I looked like a bowl of sugar because I was so white, and that is why when Tim McGraw says, “ I thought you looked like an angel wrapped in pink so soft and warm.” These lyrics express that from a young age parents have always loved their child, and that they will always be there for them. These lyrics allow a child to understand that they will always be loved. Music has allowed me to express my feelings through someone else's song because I was never able to express how I felt. I have always been a person to just bottle things until I exploded. Music has influenced me to find something, as simple as a song, and just let my feelings go out into the…

Empty- A small boy skips merrily through an open field, grasping a small rag doll in his tiny hands. He was careful not to trample over any of the flowers and smiled to himself as he passed and saw his reflection in the small, clear pool of water. Smiling shyly at the strange face, which smiled back at him. The boy's cheeks were a light shade of pink from the bitter cold air, gripping his thin, worn jacket tight around his frail body.…

The message throughout the song is saying that although you may love someone, that doesn’t guarantee the relationship will last. You can love someone deeply and truly care about him or her, but understand that it may be time to move on. Have you ever wanted something so much but you knew it wasn’t going to happen? The thing that helps me is knowing that I’m living for God, and I have to trust in His plan for me. It’s hard giving up on something you want so badly. Even though you may know that its time to say goodbye, actually saying the words is the hardest part. As humans, we want what we can’t have. When we want something so badly, it’s hard to let go. Being with someone for so…

The song Unwritten by Natasha Bedingfield reminds me of my high school graduation day. This song was playing in the room where we had to wait before we were allowed to go into the stadium. The ceremony started and when it was time to give speeches a lot of people came and gave speeches. Our class principal was the last one to give the speech, in her speech she read these lines from the song “I am unwritten, can't read my mind, I'm undefined, I'm just beginning, the pen's in my hand, ending unplanned, Staring at the blank page before you,Open up the dirty window, Let the sun illuminate the words that you could not find, Reaching for something in the distance, So close you can almost taste it, Release your inhibitions, Feel the rain on your skin, No one else can feel it for you, Only you can let it in, No one else, no one else, Can speak the words on your lips, Drench yourself in words unspoken, Live your life with arms wide open,Today is where your book begins, The rest is still unwritten.” Then she explained what the song means. The book symbolizes the life, “undefined” and “still unwritten“signifying future that is not known. “the pen in my hand” denoting the total control one has, or can have, on unfolding of future events even though they may appear to be be unplanned. “Staring at the blank page” signifying one facing a mental block, a hopeless dilemma or an indecisive uncontrollable situation. “Open up the dirty window“ metaphorically represents confronting and stepping out of or getting rid of past unpleasant memories. “Let the sun illuminate the words that you could not find” symbolizes new positive thoughts highlighting yet unexplored possibilities that can be always around. “Feel the rain on your skin” can be interpreted as experiencing any and every event in life as fully as possible, with total passion - because “No one else can feel it for you. Only you can let it in.” “Live your life with arms wide open. Today is…

I have never thought that music alone without lyrics can have certain meaning and create some kind of emotion. As both of my parents don’t have a special like on music, I am growing up without familiarity with all different types of music. I just used to listen to songs which have pretty melody and lyrics. To be honest, I have never paid much attention to rhythm, beat and rests because I feel like lyrics and melody are the only things that make me to like certain song. Before I take this class and listen necessarily orchestrical music pieces which are not familiar to me for my assignment, I always assume that the meaning of music lies on the lyrics of the song.…
