Unit III Inquiry Task The challenges someone overcomes in their life is what makes them who they are. College is where someone will be on their own for the first time, that is where they will first face true challenges. Michael McCaul is a famous politician who attended, Trinity University; who also faced major challenges throughout college and later on in life. Michael McCaul graduated from Trinity University in 1984 with bachelor degree in history. Due to the fact that Trinity University is a very academically challenging school, McCaul learned how to manage his time effectively which many alumni agreed was the most valuable life lesson they could have ever learned at Trinity. Michael McCaul uses this tool he learned in college to juggle five kids and work.

Soon after he realized how many kids have to deal with cancer he said “in too many cases, the moms, the dads… of children with cancer must stand by a hospital bed and watch helplessly as this horrible disease consumes the life of an innocent child” (2016). Seeing his kids and then visiting other kids going through so much at such a young age has really touched him. Many scientists believed that there wasn’t a true cure to cancer, but Michael McCaul wouldn’t take that as an answer. He had to overcome this challenge and convince people, using his public speaking skills, that we could never stop fighting this disease. Not only is Michael McCaul a great politician with a sensitive side, he also is the richest politicians in Texas. Michael McCaul’s net worth is $305.46 million. Though years of being a politician, once an attorney after college, and having to watch his money through college to make sure he could pay for college has all helped him plan his finances right.
