How was it easy to the follow the plan?
I found it easy to follow the plan because I prepared myself for it even though I usually eat some unhealthy things but I’m used to eating some healthy dishes too. I also have eczema so I wanted to change my eating lifestyle to also make my skin clearer and healthier. But some of the food was unexpected because I’ve never made or ate some of them before so I was worried about the amount that I might need.

What did you like/dislike about the plan?
I enjoyed the food plan because I thought let me just make a change for my diet for 2 days and see if I will enjoy these new recipes. I never really use to like mashed potatoes and I think it’s because I use to have it with a different sauce so I thought the taste would be odd but then I tried it with gravy and it was my first time trying gravy it wasn’t actually that bad, I also added sweet corn, peas, broccoli, brussell sprouts and cube carrots which was very healthy. I also noticed that my skin is also improving very well from eczema, I been drinking plenty water, been eating lots of fruits and I’ve been eating more bananas as it improves the skin as well and potatoes.
What I disliked about the plan is that there was not a bit of junk food, I enjoy eating chocolate so much but I crave too much so it was very difficult for me focus on the healthy food that much and my mum was also concerned because she usually cooks for me at some points so she thought I didn’t enjoy her original dishes anymore.

What changes would you make to the plan?
I wouldn’t really change anything in the plan, so far it came out really good, I thought the food would be unappealing but it turned to be really appetising, so I ever think of going on a diet I would this plan again and probably find out more about other healthy dishes to try out.

How does your diet compare to the recommendations you received from the Food Guide Pyramid? I just recently decided that I was going to start eating healthier. I am not on a diet! That is just too much stress. However, I have made quite a bit of progress with changing how I eat. The recommendation that I got were not that off of what I’m trying to accomplish. I need to eat more fruit and vegetables. I have been doing well with the grain and fiber intake. I need to do better with my sodium intake, which is still a little high, but is much lower than what I used to consume.…

    1) I did list down what I had for the last 24 hours and I found I had something from each of the five major food groups which are correct per MyPlate.com. I exceeded the number of servings for vegetables because I take romaine lettuce and add a little bit of seasoning (Mrs. Dash) to it and eat it like I would eat chips. This helps me to get the crunch I like and also keep my caloric intake at a minimum.…

The Whole 30 diet plan, also called the Whole 9 Life Plan, has been out since 2009, and I decided to review it because one of my friends is currently following it, she claims she has never felt better and has lost weight. The diet plan is classified as a high protein/paleo inspired diet, and there is a do eat and do not eat list. First there are foods that you can eat including: meat, seafood, eggs, vegetables, some fruit, and plenty of fats from fruits, oils, nuts and seeds. The foods you cannot eat include: sugar or any sweeteners, legumes, grains, dairy, carrageen, sulfites, MSG, and potatoes.…

On the website it states that my diet is horrible considering what I have consumed in these 3 days I don’t each much and it shows I need to start eating more than what I have been and doing better than what I have consumed. With the Milk intake I only did 1 cup equivalent this is pretty hard to change since I’m lactose intolerant and can’t handle soy well where it should be 3 cup equivalent. The meat and beans intake was at 3.5 oz which I do not eat meat much so this is not a surprise it’s suppose to be 6oz intake. With the Vegetables this is an easy one I love any kind of vegetable and was short these 3 days I had 2 cups intake when it says I should do 3 cups. Fruit intake was 1 cup when it says 2 cups recommended. Grains intake was 3.5oz recommendation is 7oz. All in all I would say I need to work on something’s but I am proud to say I will be working on this.…

Don’t expect foods using refined carbohydrates or “bad” carbs like flour and sugar to be part of the menu. Complex carbohydrates (obtained from whole grains, vegetables and fruits) which are “good” carbs and other foods that rank low in the glycemic index are preferred. These delivered meals can be supplemented with fresh vegetables and fruits. If you detest calorie counting, then this is a program you will definitely like because it takes the calorie counting out of dieting and makes the program easy to follow. Keep in mind that even if you pay extra to order specific meals, as opposed to letting Nutrisystem choose your meals, they have the right to substitute meals if their inventory is low on what you requested. Some users have reported that up to 30 percent of their order was substituted for meals they found unappetizing. Unfortunately, once the meals stop coming, members feel unprepared to make their own meals based on the Nutrisystem…

There are some very good aspects to this diet like there is no calorie restriction, you can eat a wide variety of foods, you can eat as much as you like, and you optimize digestion. Some down falls are food combining can be restrictive and difficult to manage, the creator of the diet is not a nutrition professional, there is no maintenance plan, it does not teach about portions, if you lose any weight while on it it’s from eating fewer calories not from the food combining, This diet requires you to eat in a way that is too different from your normal eating pattern and it does not provide…

In conclusion to this nutrition project only one of my goals was achieved. The goal of discovering more about Concordia’s food was achieved greatly. However, the goal of maintaining my weight was not achieved. The goal of learning more about Concordia’s food was achieved due to the fact that every time I went to order or serve myself food I read the nutrition facts. I became more aware of what I was eating and my portion sizing. Another discovery made when eating at Concordia is that the food they serve is not completely healthy nor is it available for everyone to eat. I believe I lost weight instead of maintaining my weight because I became more cautious are aware of what I was putting on my plate due to this project. I found myself putting…

I wanted to research this topic because I have been lifting for almost a year now without following a meal plan. I want to know how a meal plan would affect my body. I’ve always wanted a good body just like any other guy, and I wasn’t blessed naturally like some people. I have to work hard and eat healthy to get a good body. When I started lifting, I was technically obese and wasn’t happy with my body. I knew I needed to do something. My friend introduced me to the gym, and I fell in love instantly. I started going regularly and noticed a few changes, and I got excited. I decided to boost myself by taking pre-workout for energy and protein after to give my muscles the…

Personally, I save my money. I shop in the food store with the list, which the program recommends. I stop buying extra food which really not need. I use portions of this program do not eat more than my body needed. I stop eating out because I start to think what I eat, how much and how it was prepared. Here is saving too. Moreover, my portions became smaller. One meal replaces with Shake which is quick and healthy. Here if to split the price of Shake per day comes just $4. Does not cost more than a coffee shop, but a lot of benefits for me. I stop my gym membership too.…
