1.1 Explain the purpose and benefits of planning work, and being accountable to others for own work
The purpose of planning work and being accountable to other for own work is so you can be organised over the period of time the work task will take you. Planning work enables you to be ready for any other emergencies that you may be faced with. You will also be able to set priorities and your work will be more efficient. By taking responsibility for the work being produced, it will give a positive image of you to others and they will be able to trust you with other tasks as they will view you as more professional and trustworthy to take on the task.

1.2 Explain the purpose and benefits of negotiating realistic targets for work and ways of doing so
The purpose and benefits of negotiating realistic targets for work is to make sure you have a clear objective and you have enough time to complete it. The way to do this is to make sure you have all the necessary information before starting the task. By negotiating targets, you will have a distinct understanding of the purpose and by doing this you will be able to review progress and the purpose. A way to do this is to speak with other members of staff in your department and team and listen to advice and suggestions and find out what will work best and how to go about doing so

1.3 Describe ways of prioritising targets and setting timescales for own work
A way to prioritise targets is by knowing how long it will take you to reach the target. By doing this you will be able to sort out how much time you spend on tasks to reach your targets. A good way to doing this is to use SMART, as you will be able to work to a specific deadline. By setting a timescale, you will be able to track what you have done since you have started working towards the target and you will be able to review your progress. A way you can do this is by keeping a log of what steps you have taken to get to the target. You can also make a schedule or plan
