In this report I will be explaining the different factors of research which is carried out within a health and social care environment. I also will be showing different people opinion on the subject; as well as showing examples.
Research uses several different factors in the achieving the best results. This is an investigation in to a subject as well as the study of materials and sources in order to be able to establish the facts and to reach conclusion. This is important as it allows people to learn new things like people and events. By doing research it allows us to gather enough information to make the correct decision. It helps you improve your knowledge on the subject you are researching. An example of subjects which is researched every day is cancer, diabetes, genetics and others. These are subject’s which still haven’t been fully understood by a person. Therefore more research would need to be done to be able to act on the situation. Even though the nurses might not be able to get rid of the problem it helps them be able to come to terms and treat the problem effectively. An example of this is a doctor checking the patients medical history. This could be something like Breast Cancer which could run through the family tree. The way a nurse would check for this is to touch patients breasts to see if they can feel anything unusual. They would also look to see the shape or texture has changed. They would do this to see if they can see the signs before it has had chance to progress. Therefore allowing the patient to recieve the treatment which is needed the ealier than they would if the signs hadnt been spotted. The nurse would ask the patient about their medical and family history. If the patients history shows that a family member has suffered from breast cancer in the past the chance of them obtaining the disese is higher than a patient without it in their family history. They would check the medical history to see if any of the medication which they

Amazon is an online retailer however there have been talks and news articles of the company planning to open a warehouse store in New York City. However being an online only retailer means the company can meet any customer target and offer shopping to anyone. This removes travel time, travel costs and parking costs which appeal to more customers. This can also appeal to younger shoppers aged 16+ who are unable to drive and must pay out a large charge in travel fare. There is also a larger reach in the consumer area and they now have the ability to reach a worldwide target. Also being an online only business they can give specific and limited discounting to their products.…

The Corporate Manslaughter and Corporate Homicide Act 2007 allow companies and organisations to be guilty of these offences where serious managerial failures result in gross breach of a duty of care. This Act created a new offence of corporate manslaughter to apply to companies, government departments, police forces etc. However, before this Act was introduced, a corporation could only be convicted of manslaughter if a single employee of the company committed all the fundamentals of the offence and was considered ‘senior’ enough to be seen as exemplifying the "mind" or ‘brain’ of the corporation. Due to these limitations, convictions were rare and it was felt that corporations had escaped punishment.…

Communication in the work setting can lead to a number of things including a sense of anxiety or avoid being isolation. When you are working in a team and especially if it is in a company, you need to be a good team player and to get along with all members of clients no matter whether you like or not, If you don’t communicate well they limit their ability to connect on any meaningful level and that can lead to conflict or any other trouble that can caused you to be excluded from the work field, so it is extremely important for a person to have better relationships with the colleague that you are working with, many times I have seen people fail to get along with the staffs or a supervisors and that caused them into huge a trouble or even lead to an exclusion from the post. Positive communication skills like listening, open-ended questions, calm tone of voice and “I” statements help unite people because they are behaviours that lead to sustained relationships. Workplace relationships also become a lot stronger when people can clearly and effectively communicate what they need and allow others to do the same.…

A research study can be started from formulating a question or when there is an area of concern. This occurs when there is a gap in the information that demands a solution to help improve nursing practice (Schmidt & Brown, 2015). A nurse can identify a research problem through professional literature, clinical experience, previous research, current nursing theories, and national initiatives (Schmidt & Brown, 2015).…
