P3- describe the main physical and technological resources required in the operation of a selected organisation
For this task I will talk about the physical and technological resources in the operation of Marks and Spencer.
In an organisation there are factors of production known as human, physical, financial, and knowledge resources. Physical and technological resource. Both this resouces need to be manage carefully in an organisation. Physical resource are the buiding security and maintenance of the premises. These are the resources that the business needs to maintain in order to carry out its activities.
Building – Marks and Spencer needed a building for them to settle in and to establish their product. The building is very important because it’s the first thing owners need, a place where they will sell their products, a place that will be known and attractive to customers. The building allows the business to have a physical location where goods can be purchase. the product within the business are class in order to facilitate customers jobs of finding the right product needed. Marks and Spencer have different groups of product located in different areas within the business so that buyers won’t be confuse and will need customers services less.
Security – security is something every buisness needs in order to make the customers and employees safe enough to be or enter the business. Security includes video cameras within the store just which could be used as proves if a robbery happen or somethin went missing within the business, security guard etc… the security guard need to have skills in order to work in the business, for example, Marks and Spencer need security guards who pocess communication skills as its important for them to communicate well with customers as they represent the business.
Technological resources are what the business need to get a job done. Technology resources are People, Information, Materials, Tools, Energy, Capital and Time.
