Choose a community group OR social justice organisation to research. Present your findings on the following:
- Provide some brief information on the organisation?
Bedford has been around since 1945, Bedford has created a brighter future for South Australians with a disability or disadvantage that is why they are number one for what they do. They help by offering employment, day activities, training, life skills, community housing and support services. They provide much needed services to over 3,000 people across the State. They have stated that they want to focus on addressing people's evolving needs in a caring and supportive environment. With the help of the community eg us, so that we can ensure that people with disability or disadvantage are given the opportunity …show more content…
Why? Refer to current events, e.g. news articles, reports, blogs, websites etc.
I would say it is effective because it makes a smile on the faces of the one that have disabilities it also distracts them and take thing of their mind, they have people to help them through tough times. They help anyone that needs it and they will do anything to help them.
- Make a link between and comment on the goals of organisation and either the Beatitudes or Catholic Social teaching?
Catholic Social teaching is exactly like Bedford industries because they all help out someone that has a advantages or disadvantage. Catholic Social teaching is a Catholic Church on matters of social justice, involving issues of poverty and wealth, economics, social organization and the role of the state, so they help out people in the community that needs help or evens wants help as well. I see these two organisation similar to each other because they are all helping out someone in a different way
