The fast food restaurant that I chose to use for my meals review is Kentucky Fried Chicken, they are nationally known as KFC to most people.
Beginning with the analysis of the unhealthy meal that I have put together from the menu; as the entrée, a chicken pot pie; as the side, potato wedges; as the dessert, a slice of Oreo cookies and cream pie; and as the drink, a 64zo. Tropicana twister orange. I have copied the nutrition information for this meal from the KFC website below: Serving Size (gms)

The unhealthy meal that I created has several issues, starting with the serving sizes, an average serving size in grams for a meat pie is 200 grams, and this pot pie is a double serving size. This is an issue because most people sit down and eat what is in front of them because they have been taught from an early age that you need to clean you plate. The potato wedges in serving size grams is also over the recommended serving size of 60 grams, and they are deep fried in oil that is all saturated fat. The slice of pie is bigger than the 1/6th that would be recommended and the 64oz. drink is equal to 8, 8oz glasses of liquid. These choices are all over the recommended serving size and most of them are double what one should eat at one meal. The calories alone in this meal amount to 2,200, which is depending on a person’s height and weight the average calorie intake one should consume for an entire day and not just at one meal. The macronutrients in this meal are carbohydrates at 366 grams, fiber at 6 grams, and protein at 36 grams. The recommended daily allowance of these macronutrients in grams are; carbohydrates 130 grams, fiber 130 grams, and protein between 52-60 grams. The amounts of these macronutrients in this meal are over and or contribute to most of the recommended daily allowance for any one person; this in combination with the amount of sugar at 263 grams and sodium at 3,185 grams that this meal gives the average person double, and on some items like sugars, triple the amount of what they should consume in a day let alone at one meal. Since the RDA says that the diet is supposed to contain between 20-30% of fat for the entire day and this meal contains 52% fat, this meal is an unhealthy choice and goes way over the daily recommendation. Moving on to the analysis of the healthy meal that I have put together from the menu; as the entrée, a chicken little sandwich without sauce; as the side, green beans; as the dessert, a sweet life oatmeal raisin cookie; and as the drink, a 16zo. diet Dr. Pepper. Once again, I have copied the nutrition information for this meal from the KFC website below: Serving Size (gms)

The healthy meal that I created has a much better all-around total on serving size, fat content, and macronutrient continent, as well as better overall sodium and sugar totals. The chicken sandwich is a bit larger than the 70 gram size that is recommended, however has less fat content and offers much less fat and calories overall than the pot...
