Undying Love
“Dispatch to patrol car 319, reporting a 268 at 115 Rosewood Drive”

This was a familiar neighborhood for me as I had grown up in these parts. The scattered puddles didn’t impinge on my black leather boots as they repelled every drop of water. My navy blue uniform crisply tucked beneath my Kevlar holster, did not budge as I walked up the driveway. Parked out front was a metallic grey Volvo SUV and to its right, an out of state matte black Lexus sedan, by default enhancing the entire home’s appeal. The home itself was detached with an elegant adult maple tree on the front lawn. The big beautiful patterned glass windows on the house and front door caught my eye. The home had a well-aged complexion but like wine the age brought upon a greater appeal of class and comfort. I knocked thrice on the dark brown double doors, to be met a few moments later by a tall, slim woman, with shining dark hair. She seemed to be in her early thirties and I couldn’t help but notice the way her bright red lipstick complemented her pale white skin tone, giving a similar appeal as an actress in the 1950s. Even though she was in a baby pink robe, with matching slippers and her hair looked rather un kept, she was truly beautiful.

“Please come in Officer, I’m afraid that someone is attempting to break into my home. I’ve heard the doorbell ring several times, noises from the backyard, and piercing sounds of things breaking on the concrete”

The passageway from the front door lead me first to the living room. I could sense the woman’s apprehension as I observantly glanced around. With each step, the soles of my black leather boots met the hickory heard wood floors, producing a subtle, yet noticeable clatter. Most of the furniture seemed decently expensive, made of leather, wood, or both. The fireplace was on and I

At 4am dispatch received a call from the resident at 137 West Alexander Drive, who claimed to have heard a scream from his neighbours house. Captain Jason Long turned the case over to Officer Brice Tyler, Officer Lily Rayne, and I. At approximately 4:30am we arrived at the house knocking on the door. The young man answered with a smile on his face. I had noted that he seemed wide awake, as if he had been up for some time, as he invited us inside. We told him of our cause of being there, and he immediately told us the old man was visiting his sister in another town. He did not give us more details. instead, he showed us that the old mans belongings were exactly in there proper place. Afterward, he asked us to sit down in the bedroom, chatting easily about his evening. Soon after, he seemed to become agitated, raising his voice and speaking angrily. He was soon pacing and hitting the table, threatening us to make us stop agonising him, even though we did not say a threatening word to him.…

Students, APA formatting is not required, however, you are required to substantiate your responses and opinions with laws, cases, statutes, codes, regulations or anything else that gives credibility to your answers. Remember, this is a legal class. Also, remember to state issues, integrate facts, discuss both sides of an issue, thoroughly analyze each question in detail, and lastly, conclude, based upon your legal findings and premise. You can have more than one conclusion as long as you argue both sides of an issue. You don’t need one absolute conclusion. The most important thing in law would be your ability to see both sides, argue them, and present alternative conclusions based upon these factors.…
