I went to St. Michael School from Kindergarten through Eighth grade, so when it came time to leave for high school, I was not excited for the change. St. Michael was especially small in regards to student population. We had just under three hundred students split between all nine grades. That left roughly twenty to thirty kids per class. I was extremely used too this small environment and not exactly looking forward to the terrors of high school towering over me nor the thought of being lost in the sea of students. Over the years I was extremely imbedded in my academics. I had straight A’s for my entire time at St. Michael. I received the academic achievement award at Eighth grade promotion for having the highest GPA in my class. Despite this, I was worried that I wouldn’t be able to live up…
One reason that I am so proud of my high school academic accomplishments, is because I struggled with my grades in grade school. Because of these struggles, I realized that I needed to work hard to obtain good grades. In high school, my work ethic helped me attain good grades and be nominated for the National Honor Society. According to the National Honor Society, only about…
The others who did not get those grades and didn’t receive the high scholarship notice the recognition for the students who did and strive to get that recognition as well. This contributes to the common good, which is benefitting all. Keep…
I have received the Mu Alpha Theta Award, a mathematics award in the honors society for students in high school or junior college in the United States. I have also received a Certificate of Excellence for leadership and commitment in the Food Justice Momentum Team's campaign to win a healthy and Halal chicken school lunch for the 2015-2016 year at Crawford High School. Lastly, I received the Diversity Advantage recognition for my participation in the National Conflict Resolution Center.…
awards that I thought were a little overdone. But then again, now that I apply for this…
Throughout my four years of high school, I have consistently pushed myself beyond my limits and comfort zones in attempt to discover my place in the world. I spent most of first two years discovering who I was as an individual, ultimately manifesting into inspiration for success. I grew out of “fitting in” and decided to turn my life and aspirations towards a greater direction; on this road of discovery, I separated myself from those who valued arrogance and indifference. “Nerd Squad” is what I am a part of today, which is why I am currently confident enough to apply for the National Honors Society Scholarship. I believe I have grown into a tenacious, sympathetic, and joyous young man that the entire school has seen develop, and I am honored…
A jubilant hello from Alabama! I am Valerie and my most rewarding accomplishment stands about 5 foot in height, and she is 10-years of age. My greatest blessing, joyfully filled my heart at the age of nine when Jesus Christ became my Savior. When my daughter was of the age of two, I received a Bachelor degree in Elementary Education. Because God’s hand has directed me to travel a new path, I am pursuing an M.B.A. in Leadership. Frankly, I lack experience in international business, with this marking my second semester in the business program. With careful consideration, I chose Liberty University based on the university commitment to educating accompanied with a biblical perspective. Ultimately, I want a business that honors God by spreading…
I feel honored to achieve the National Junior Honor Society award, ever since I received the letter informing me about how I earned the award I was very excited. This award means a lot to me and I have set high goals all school year ever since hearing about it. Every day I come to school and set high goals for myself whether it’s to earn all A’s, learn something new, or get an award. I feel education is very important and so far all this school year I only have been absent once and I’ve never been late. However, I don’t think all the credit should go to me, if it weren't for my parents I wouldn’t have gotten myself to where I am today. Their belief in me to achieve greatness inspires me. Throughout my life, they also helped answer all my questions, and still do. All though it’s not just my parents who deserve the credit the amazing teachers who have taught me throughout my entire life deserve some credit too, without their amazing teaching skills I wouldn’t be earning this award today.…
The National Honors Society recognizes students who have great leadership skills, strong character, and who have a great desire to serve their community. I believe that I demonstrate all of these attributes. I work very hard to do well in school, I continue to serve in leadership positions in the community and I strive to be an individual…
Being raised from the Delta, I had/have to overcome many obstacles. My biggest barrier is being successful after high school because of the circumstances I face living in Indianola, MS. It may be a hitch, but it is not impossible to overcome it. Everyday I strive to not fall under the stereotype that if black people are given something difficult, then they want do it. I have a 3.4 GPA, I am a founding member of the Mighty Rams Honor Society. The MRHS is designed to honor, challenge and develop those students who have shown a commitment to the advancement of the school`s mission and vision for themselves and their classmates. I am honored to be apart of that organization. It is my greatest achievement yet. I am also a member of the National Tech Honor Society.…
The four pillars of National Honors Society, scholarship, service, leadership, and character, have paved a path for me as a student and as a person. Scholarship has taught me to strive to be the best student I can be. I use scholarship to keep up with my school work and never give up when a class is hard. I always strive for the best grade I can get and I will stop at nothing until I reach my goal. I will continue to use scholarship as I go to college and pursue my dream as a pediatric dentist. I will study, I will learn, and I will never give up no matter what happens along the way. I use service when I volunteered to help my local private school. I was never asked to do so, but I felt as if I was giving back to a school that had done so much…
I wish to become a member of Mullica Township’s National Junior Honor Society because by being a part of this amazing organization means so much to me. I worked very hard since a young age trying to keep my grades high and strive for success. This opportunity is definitely a milestone in my academic journey. I’ve worked for this moment and fell I would be a perfect member for NJHS because I have leadership, character, citizenship, and enjoy volunteering my time to others.…
I feel honored to be considered for acceptance into the National Honor Society. I feel a great pride to even be considered by such a stellar organization. I feel that I am deserving of admittance into the National Honor Society by way of my leadership qualities and academic performance during my high school career.…
When I was inducted into the National Honor Society at the end of my sophomore year, I knew it was a prestigious honor because only a selected few are eligible to be included. I was honored to be identified by a program that recognizes scholarship, leadership, service, and character. Being inducted into the National Honor Society has motivated me to maintain, and improve, these characteristics.…
When I got pulled out of class with a couple other classmates I had thought I did something wrong but I looked at all the students that got called out and they were really good students. A teacher talked to us about National Honors Society and about how the paperwork is important…
