underclassman advice
Advice to take into consideration of all ages for high school classes would have to be when homework is assigned just do it the first time and don’t put it off, because when you put it off that work often ends up never getting finished on time and just makes things a lot more difficult for you down the road in high school.
Another big key to high school is, even though it’s the start of your freshman year; it’s not anything like the years before and is definitely no place to goof off and not do your work because your first few years are your absolute most important, and will start the base of your high school career and your college career too. Some of the things that I wish that I had never done would have to be, that I wish I wouldn’t have messed around my freshman and sophomore year because all it did was cause me more homework and stress because I was taking classes over that I had already did the work in, trust me it’s defiantly no fun being a senior taking freshman and sophomore classes.
The main thing to just keep in mind is that these are your last few years with the people you’ve been with and need to enjoy these few last years with them but in order to do so you got stay on top of your classes and leave the goofing off and fun stuff in school for your senior year. Once you start your freshman year
You’re only in it for the last four years of high school for the rest of your life and how you do in school these last four years will reflect on you for the rest of your life and will always follow you around.

“I can’t wait to be a senior” was something I would say whenever I walked into my anatomy class full of seniors who did nothing at all but every time I would Jesslyn would stop me, cock her eyebrow, make a ‘you are kidding me right?’ face and say “be careful what you wish for” and I’m now understanding what she meant. Learning responsibility, independence, and how to deal with stress is the most difficult for me coming into senior year.…

High school should be the time of your life. You should take the classes that you want and spend as much time with your friends. However, there are some high schools that don't provide as many opportunities as other schools contain. Some do not have the kind of money to even take care of the students and some don't even have enough books to educate them. I have had the privilege to learn in an environment that contains enough books and supplies for all of the students attending the schools. There were many classes that were open to me and one specific one that touched me the most was Spanish.…

The goals I want to achieve during my years at PHS and beyond are to maintain a good gpa all year and not be afraid to ask for help, take a class that I would enjoy and learn from, and make new friends and lots of new memories. First off, I really want to get a good gpa all four years of high school. I really want to go to a four year college after college, and getting good grades in high school helps with that. I see high school as deeper work, more responsibility, and more homework. The teachers are a lot harder on you. In high school, you get more freedom than in middle school because you’re older. There is harder work because the standards are higher. There is more responsibility because the teachers think you can do it and you have to keep up with more books and stuff.…

Starting high school was a terrifying idea to me. Different teachers, class times, lockers, drama! I remember that I always looked up to my older sister while she was in high school. She had tons of friends, played sports, participated in student government, and went out for the school play. I wanted to be just like her when I started high school. In middle school, I lined myself up for this, I played soccer in the fall and basketball in the winter. I helped out in the school plays, and I joined the student government. I had a group of great friends, and thought nothing bad was going to happen.…

High school is a different experience for everyone. The first three years really blend together and do not seem important, but senior year is completely different. Freshman year was full of confusion, learning an array of new things. Sophomore year was where life started to get fun and you “belonged” in the high school. Junior year was where you see the little light at the end of the tunnel, but it was filled with anxiety and frustration. Senior year is where it all becomes worth it and the rest of your life is finally going to begin.…

My freshman year I regret not using the opportunities given to me to be more successful, and trying as hard as I possibly could. I did play basketball which forced me to stay on top of my grades and to make a positive effort to being a role model of the school. My freshman year I was mostly antisocial but I did have many “associates” of the school and brothers from basketball. I remember being so much more mature than other freshman and at that most of the sophomores, juniors, and some seniors. Although I wasn’t at the top of my game for school, I did attend tutorials and get help from my teachers to help my grade be as high as I possibly could get it.…
