However, the only individuals who have the authority and ability to carry out the proposed solution are those who have been elected into political office. As Honors students, direct action with the proposal is out of reach. However, political involvement and advocacy are the two components that give us an opportunity to indirectly influence the direct influencers through activism and voting. Volunteering has temporary benefits, such as volunteering at a Hispanic health clinic or non profit hospital such as Trinity Health, however, “We have to recognize what volunteers can do, and what we need other institutions to do” (Bell). In this case, institutions do what their policies instruct them to do, and those policies are formed by powerful figures, who are influenced by politicians, who ultimately, are influenced by the active political participation of the people. Therefore, it is our job as students and as citizens to advocate for the cause and to participate in political activism, so that our voices are heard by those who have direct influence on the solution at…

Active involvement is being involved and with on camps events like clubs sports teams and drama productions like acting in a play singing or playing an instrument. I have been involved in all these fields. For example I worked with the drama production class setting up the play “I hate hamlet” that went on this semester. I was in charge of the light and sound cues that were in the play. I really enjoyed my time working on this play. I learned a lot from the different people that were working with us. Actor’s backstage managers and the props people. Working together to put a play was a very hard job; we had to work as a team helping each other with different chores. We faced a lot of conflicts, which was very normal for a drama class to suffer from but in the end we put up the play and everybody enjoyed it. I am also on the volleyball team of auk. I am learning a lot. It is a must to work as whole not as single individuals when you’re on a team. Communication is key. Without communication we would have chaos on our team, and we wouldn’t be able to play properly. This impacted my college experience by teaching me important qualities that I will use later in life. For example, thinking before speaking, Communication, respect and patience.…

This is a vital issue today that what is the purpose of electing the political parties to form the government. If we look the entire democratic process it completely gives the picture of non people oriented leadership establishments in political leadership, getting education, starting business doing any social services. The democracy's look is capitalist. Till we change this look and understand the democracy has given the first right to common people and that right is representative right and now we have to think how this right should be used by the common people to lead the society entering into the political institutions. The representative right is now used by the wealthy classes in our society and they able to build the political parties and in maximum cases they constituted the constitutional framework that gives the political parties to come in front of the common people through election commissions registration process. If we seriously look into the function of election commission they should limit themselves to act for preparing the people's mandate giving programme and listing the voters, but they are doing some extra job given to them by the political leadership who want to remain in seat of power.…
