I have decided to apply to the UNCW Honors College because I strive to excel in everything I do while setting an example for my peers. I am a natural leader and feel that being a member of the honors college would propel me into the leadership role that I thrive in. I am strong in my beliefs and morals and will positively impact my peers as well as my community. I also would like to be surrounded by strong, like-minded individuals that take pride in their school and community. While being a member of the UNCW Honors College, I hope to positively impact my school as well as my community. I have lived in Wilmington all my life and have grown up around UNCW.     When I transferred to Middle Tennessee State University (MTSU), I was fortunate to be selected to the Honors Transfer Fellows program.     The Honors Program grabbed my attention because it’s for academically outstanding students and I am that student. Throughout my years of high school, I have taken Advanced Placement and Honors classes and have done very well in them.
