Tybalt death news article
Ancient Family Feud Causes the Deaths of Two of It's Members

Tragedy struck Verona today as a brawl between Tybalt Montague and Mercutio (friend of the Capulets) cost them their lives. Romeo Montague is to blame for the tragic deaths of these two men. Prince Esculas stated that his punishment is to be exile from Verona forever.

Romeo’s cousin Benvolio reports that the fight began after being provoked by Mercrutio. When the young Romeo Montague arrived on scene, he quickly interviened by holding back Mercutio. Unfortunatly, Tybalt took this as an opportunity to stab Mercutio through Romeo’s arms. Romeo later murdered Tybalt as an act of vengeance.

Romeo later stated that Mercutio continuously repeated, “A plaque o’ both your houses.” This testified that the cause of his death was because of the ancient feud between the two houses; since he was not a member of either house, he had the right to insult (not sure this is the right word) them.

The Prince, who believes that Verona has seen enough of this rivalry, banished Romeo as a way of avoiding conflict in the future.

Mercutio’s and Tybalt’s funeral will be planned shortly at the St.Peter’s Church. ssssssssssssss ssssssssss s ss s s s s s s s s s s s s s s s sssss s sssss s s sssss sssss sssss sssss sssss sssss sssss sssss sssss sssss sssss sssss sssss sssss sssss sssss sssss sssss sssss sssss sssss sssss sssss sssss sssss sssss sssss sssss sssss sssss sssss sssss sssss sssss sssss sssss sssss sssss sssss sssss sssss sssss sssss sssss sssss sssss sssss sssss sssss sssss sssss sssss sssss ssssssssss sssss sssss sssss sssss sssss sssss sssss sssss sssss sssss ssssssssss sssss sssss sssss sssss sssss

In this scene Mercutio gets killed tempting Romeo to kill Tybalt which gets Romeo banished. But in this scene the feud is actually strengthened, this is because the scene just made the two families hate each other more. In the text Lady Capulet said “Of my dear kinsman! Prince, as thou art true, For blood of ours shed blood of Montague” (III.i 111-112). Lady Capulet is specifically asking the prince to kill one of the Montagues.…

The accidental wound causes Mercutio's death. While they kept on fighting, Romeo kept on trying to part them. His intercession distracted them which made Tybalt accidentally stab Mercutio. When Tybalt exits they discover that Mercutio's wound was enough to kill him. Mercutio said, "Why the devil / came you between us? I was hurt under your arm" (3.1.97-98) to Romeo. Mercutio's statement proves that Romeo was the one at fault, not Tybalt. Tybalt entered back in time for Romeo to avenge Mercutio's death, even though he was not all at fault. Mercutio is a kinsman to the prince and friend of Romeo. He is neither Montague or Capulet but he stays on the side of the Montague because he is Romeo’s friend. Some of his most famous quotes in the play include; “Ask for me tomorrow, and you shall find me a grave man”, and “A plague a’both your houses! They have made worms’ meat of me.” Mercutio persuades Romeo at the start of the play to go to the Capulet party, which is where Romeo met Juliet in the first place. I don’t think he can blamed for their deaths in this way as he didn’t even know Juliet existed at that point. Later on in the play, Mercutio and Romeo are hanging out together when Tybalt comes up to them, Tybalt then insults Romeo in an attempt to provoke a fight but Romeo responds calmly and it is Mercutio who then fights with Tybalt, in defence of his friend. Romeo tries to stop the fight but in the confusion, Tybalt stabs Mercutio and dies shortly afterwards. Mercutio didn’t need to start a fight with Tybalt as he is not a Montague, he didn’t hold a grudge against him. When Mercutio got killed, this fuelled Romeo for revenge as Tybalt had just killed his best friend and walked away from it with his head held high. Romeo went after Tybalt and caught him by surprise, subsequently…

It began with Mercutio and Tybalt almost jokingly fighting. Romeo, though, was worried and tried to end the fight, but instead inflicted more damage. When Romeo comes in between the two, Tybalt’s sword pierced Mercutio from under Romeo’s arm, delivering the blow that would cause the deaths of all of them. Mercutio said, “Why the devil came you between us? I was hurt under your arm.” (p. 231), and Romeo responded, “I thought all for the best”(p. 231). This incident, at least, was an accident. Tybalt had not intended to kill Mercutio, but Romeo messed them up by trying to pull Mercutio away. Romeo didn’t intend for him to be killed either, he was just attempting to stop the fighting. Because Mercutio died, Romeo was filled with anger, and in order to avenge Mercutio, decided to kill Tybalt, which led to his banishment. Romeo demanded that Tybalt duel him, saying “And fire-eyed fury be my conduct…

Tybalt is most responsible for the deaths that happened in the play Romeo and Juliet. Tybalt is responsible for the death of mercutio in act three. After mercutio was stabbed by Tybalt, he said “Ask for me tomorrow and you shall find me a grave man.” (3.1.95). This quote is saying that the wound is going to kill him and he suspects he will die soon. He wanted to fight tybalt for telling Capulet on them at the party. Romeo tried to stop it but tybalt acted first and stabbed mercutio. Therefore, Tybalt is responsible for mercutio's death. These deaths that occur appear in, and greatly impact, both the Montague and Capulet families. When Romeo first appears at the Capulet party, Tybalt instantaneously notices him, and becomes quite angry. Tybalt runs to Lord Capulet, to see he can be granted to permission to remove of Romeo. Lord Capulet responds surprisingly well to the news of Romeo arriving at the party. “Content thee gentle coz. Let him alone.” States Capulet in act 1 scene 5. However, Tybalt has a different opinion on what should happen to Romeo. Because of Tybalt’s differing opinion, he later, in act 3 scene 1, finds Romeo and proceeds to throw insults around. Mercutio, Romeo’s best friend, becomes angry at Tybalt for insulting his best friend, and decides to fight with Tybalt. Romeo disagrees with this decision and tries to break up the fight. To begin, the first characters that contribute to the deaths of Romeo and Juliet by thinking with their heart are Sampson and Gregory. As they are not protagonists in this story, but they are servants of the Capulet family. In Verona, two families have been fighting for many years. It has gotten to the point where they don't even know why they are fighting. Sampson and Gregory were walking along the streets of Verona, armed with swords, looking as if they were searching for trouble. They speak about their hatred towards the Montagues, then Abraham, a servant of the Montagues arrives. Sampson and Gregory quarrel with him. The prince quickly arrives to break up the fight. Prince stated that, “And made Verona's ancient citizens cast by their grave beseeing ornaments to wield old partisans, in hands as old, cankered with peace, to part your cankered hate.(I,i 87-90)” What the Prince said was that our elders learned to accept each others differences and is asking them why they can't seem to do the same. I feel that that this introduces us and reminds the families of their hatred towards each other, which leads to the deaths of Romeo and Juliet.…
