To begin with, late marriage is being the social norm in Hong Kong, the divorce rate started to decrease too. From the statistics posted by CDC, the probability of young marriages show a huge different divorce rate than older marriages, older marriages have a about two times lower divorce rate.( Dalrock. On the other hand, late marriage cause negative effects on both individuals and society. Firstly, for individual dimensions, high-ages pregnancy may lead to several health problems, such as higher risks of miscarriage, macrosomia, breech position of baby and so on. Thus, adolescents need to keep on studying and working, that may induce lots of stress on the them. Lastly, huge generation gap between children and parents may cause communication barriers between both, children learn and know maybe extremely different with their parents and parents get hard to know children's feelings.
