Trumpilius The King: A Short Story
There once was a king, who ruled these lands,
He even killed a tyrannical king, who ruled the sands,
He was righteous and smart,
Humble and pure of heart,
Sweet and giving,
Nice and forgiving,
His feats and victories heard from horizon to horizon,
His protection had more coverage than Verizon,
He threw gold sacks to every man, woman, and child,
To say he was generous was more than mild,
He plowed fields with the farmers every weekend,
He helped the elderly move at night for their knees were weakened,
Stories his deep soothing voice bellowed to the little ones,
Jokes and pranks he told and performed for the teens to have some fun,
Jewelry and clothes he had hand sewn for every mother,
On Wednesdays he even gave the rule of the kingdom to his

She is humble and not mean!”
“Trumpilius will make us richer than ever before!”
“Hillicus will spread the riches amongst the poor!”
The crowd started to get into a state of unrest,
Many opinions were being screamed at which king or queen will be next,
These screams turned to chairs flying about,
Opinions were being hurled from bleeding mouths,
Trumpilius and Hillicus took a step back,
For each side of the crowd were about to attack,
The soldiers stood in between the monsters about to collide,
But once they were sucked into it, they too died,
Weapons were drawn and blood was spilled,
Even the candidates were beheaded and killed,
After hours of the bludgeoning of skulls,
The fight finally began to dull,
Men, women, children alike,
They all joined in this fight,
The marble floors were stained red,
For no one was left to vote for they were all

Cincinnatus had a son, named Caeso and he committed a crime. Caeso was put on trial, was found guilty and his punishment was death. Cincinnatus used his power and influence to make a deal with the government. Cincinnatus’ family would leave Rome for their son to be saved. Cincinnatus’ family lived in a farm for a couple years. In those years, nearby tribes called the Aequi and Volscians teamed up to attack Rome. The war lasted for about two years and it was very intense. “Let’s make America great again!”—Donald Trump (Donald Trump Campaign Website). Donald Trump is a modern politician who is possibly the boldest and bravest republican you will see. Although he is very different from King Arthur, there are a few parallels that you can draw between the two and that will make Donald Trump the modern Arthur. Donald Trump can bring about reform and the rebirth of morality if he tries hard enough, and he will. The first major parallel between the two is the most obvious; Donald Trump is currently the top candidate and will most likely be the president of 2016. Furthermore, the second parallel is that both King Arthur and Donald Trump are brave. Last but not least, the most important parallel is that both King Arthur and Donald Trump pay attention to equality in interesting ways.…

    Theseus The King

Kings, by the definition from Merriam-Webster, are male sovereign heads of state who legitimize their rule through claims of divinity and shared blood relationship with their predecessor. Tyrants, on the other hand, punish their subjects in order to maintain their power and override any means of change that would challenge their reign. However, both, whether real or legend, find their way in Greek mythology and culture as well as Roman mythology and culture, at times playing key roles, with some portrayed as tyrannical kings. Yet, Theseus and Romulus were two particular king figures who shared very little traits with that of the tyrannical figure, but instead were more like kings who symbolized that of a hero figure. Thus, it can then be suggested…

Niccoli Machiavelli's questionable morals rocked the world at the time, where before political philosophy was extremely theoretical and courtly. Machiavelli, on the other hand, believed in whatever means necessary to achieve power, and the stability that came along with it. A strong state is a secure state, according to Machiavelli. So, Machiavelli encouraged deceit and violence in a ruler, but only to gain a stronger control and stability as a nation.…

There were many transitions throughout history in terms of politics. One example is the United States, who went from having a king on the other side of the world to a president leading them in their own country. Another example is Germany, who went from having a horrible dictatorship to gaining a president who would look to help the country rebuild after a devastating war. Now I could come up with many other examples of historical transitions, but none are as important as the transition from the origin of politics and its theory in ancient Greece and how it can be led by a group of wise philosophers to one 16th century Italian man's new ideas about how a country could be lead through a born into power prince. In this paper, I will be discussing how an important work of Niccolo Machiavelli…

Marcus Brutus’ plight is ultimately a decision to save a republic that involves sacrificing its soon-to-be dictatorial leader, with the conspiracy taking into consideration the pros and the cons of such an act. Often times the better choice is the more difficult one, especially when it involves the murder of a man beloved by all. As such, Brutus is the tragic hero of the play Julius Caesar. His tragic flaw is his easily trusting nature, and his conflicting emotions and nobleness make him one of the most renowned tragic heroes of all time.…

In William Shakespeare's The Tragedy of Julius Caesar, it is shown that, language is a powerful weapon, and in the hands of a skilled person, it can be used to manipulate others. For example, when Cassius says to Brutus; “... he doth bestride the narrow world like Colossus, and we petty men walk under his huge legs and peep about to find ourselves dishonorable graves”. (1.2.135-38).Brutus is a noble man, and only does things for the good of others, and he originally does not think killing Caesar is a good idea but Cassius convinces him. Another example is when Antony says to the crowd, “He hath brought many captives home to Rome, Whose ransoms did the general coffers fill; Did this in Caesar seem ambitious” (3.2.90-93) even after the conspirators…
