Trophy Hunting Persuasive Essay
Why are people against killing animals when eventually they are going to die? Trophy hunting has more benefits than you might think. For example this industry brings in $200 million each year in Africa. It does much more for the community also.

First of all trophy hunting should be allowed. Trophy hunting can give local people and villagers jobs. Lots of people can benefit of off trophy hunting. In the Junior Scholastic wrote by Alessandra Potenza reading it states that the industry brings in $200 million annually in Africa. 200 million dollars a year is used for local communities that is making africa a better place.

Second of all Trophy hunting should be allowed for protection. In the Junior Scholastic article it states “ African’s are scared of lion”. About 200,000 live in Africa and many if them are dangerous. For example the junior scholastic article states “ Conflicts between human and animals rose 55 percent from 2012 to 2014”. My evidence is claiming that the conflict is rising and humans need protection. Sence trophy hunting is legal then thats a way for their protection.

In the junior scholastic article it states “ Trophy hunting is legal in more than 20 African nations”. Trophy hunting is nothing new because in the junior school cast is also states” Africa has lost up to 60% of it’s wildlife in the last 40 years due to trophy hunting”. My evidence states that trophy hunting has been around for more than 40 years.

Those on the other side may say Trophy hunting should not be allowed. They say this because they state that because that the money coming for trophy hunting it not being used correctly. I disagree with that statement. According to the Junior Scholastic article in paragraph 9 it states “The industry brings in as much as $200 million annually in Africa”. That evidence claims that this business bring in lots of

“Cecil the Lion Killed By American Dentist” was the headline that rekindled the controversial debate over trophy hunting. This debate is better represented by Goodwell Nzou’s article “In Zimbabwe We Don’t Cry For Lions” than in the passage by Alexis Crosswell “5 Reasons Why Trophy Hunting is Not Conservation.” Trophy hunting is the killing of animals specifically for the purpose of keeping a portion of the animal as a prize. Since the death of Cecil the Lion, the sport has come under significant fire from the media and sparked heated argument. Nzou has the stronger argument than Crosswell’s specifically because: it recognizes that humans personify deadly animals, the writer of “In Zimbabwe We Don’t Cry For Lions” has personal experience with the subject and that Goodwell Nzou explains that American priorities are more concerned with animals than starving people.…

Doctoral student in molecular and cellular biosciences at Wake Forest University and member of the African Nzou clan, Goodwell Nzou, in his opinion contribution to the New York Times, effectively claims that trophy hunting is not as bad as Americans are making it out to be. First, he supports this claim by asserting that lions are considered killers in African villages. Nzou uses cause and effect to appeal to pathos when stating, “When I was 9 years old, a solitary lion prowled villages near my home. After it killed a few chickens, some goats and finally a cow, we were warned to walk to school in groups and stop playing outside. My sisters no longer went alone to the river to collect water or wash dishes; my mother waited for my father and older brothers, armed with machetes, axes and spears, to…

“Many of the animals are so tame that people can walk right up to them. They have no chance.” States Lena Masr. These animals have been have been raised around people knowing nothing about getting shot, so when they actually trust someone the trust gets taken away along with the animals lives. If exotic hunting were to be a thing it should at least be in Africa where the animals can run and attempt to get away from killed and/ or harmed. Lara Logan states “A Texas hunting ranch is not the same as being in a reserve in Sagal.” ”The future for Oryx’s is Africa… not Texas.” Hunters waste so much money paying to hunt animals, however if people were to hunt they should be hunting in Africa where the animals can run away rather than being trapped in a cage. If anything hunting a caged animal is pointless, “People who kill them are cowardly.” Exclaims Lena Mesri, hunting these animals or any animals in general is pointless unless it is for survival purposes or any other logical…

I am against the big game trophy hunting for many reasons supported by quotes from articles about the story, TMDG. Something so small and harmless may be thought as just a hobby, but in the end, it is a hobby that affects way more. Animals and humans can both receive harm when people hunt; especially when it involves many deaths and drastic changes in someone's life. Throughout the articles I read, I found that big game trophy hunting is quite dangerous; adding to my original thought about being against it.…

The activity of hunting wild animals for food has long been a practice of man. It is what we as humans survived off for thousands of years. An instinctual need to pursue game is still alive in many of us. Unfortunately, those who choose to fulfill this instinct are generally condemned for their actions. Now this may not seem to be such a serious deal, but I assure you there is much more to this situation than first meets the eye. The topic of hunting is very significant because it not only affects hunter’s rights, but it affects landscape, funding wildlife preservation, and tradition.…

You’re driving home from a movie with your best friends and you’re doing about 60 on a country road you’ve known all your life. All of a sudden, out of your peripheral view, you see a couple of deer heading straight for your cars path. You hit the brake to try to avoid them and narrowly miss. You think to yourself how lucky you are that you didn’t hit one. What you didn’t know is the couple of deer you saw used to be a pack of 4 deer. A week earlier, two different hunters each took a deer from that herd. If it wasn’t for the hunters, you probably would’ve hit at least one deer. Deer hunting isn’t as bad as it is portrayed to be! Hunting controls the deer population and along with predator population and the number of accidents involving deer decrease because of good ethical hunting.…

“ 61 people have been killed by black bears while hundreds of black bears have been killed by hunters in New Jersey” Does the bear hunt really matter that much? The bear hunt isn’t necessary, and some people may not believe this but it doesn’t change anything. The bears will just keep on growing so why should we murder them for no reason while there are other ways to prevent them from hurting our people. Hunting black bears is a horrendous sport which lets hunters get lots of money for doing something wrong. When has murdering and torturing animals become a sport? What have the bears ever done to us or the hunters? They kill people because they are terrified of us. It is not their fault. When people are terrified they do the same thing. We should end the bear hunt because when we hurt bears that is…

Public debates about trophy hunting often centers on the question of the morality of recreational hunting or the extent to which the money paid by sportsmen seeking a trophy animal provides a conservation benefit to the overall population of game animals and the rural economies where the game is hunted. Bears, cougars, deer, foxes, and other animals who are chased, trapped, and even killed by dogs during hunts are not the only ones to suffer from this variant of the “sport.” Hunting for fun destroys property and injure or kill horses, cows, dogs, cats, hikers, and other hunters (Trophy…

Trophies are so satisfying when you receive one, but is it too far for a kid to get a trophy just for showing up? Yes it is, and there are numerous reasons to support this opinion. In particular, getting the same trophy other players are rewarded as well shows nothing worth awarding. Furthermore, trophies are not suppose to be an easy thing to achieve, or that demolishes the purpose of a trophy. I feel coaches give players too many trophies.…
