Trivergent Health Alliance is considered a Management Service Organization (MSO). MSO's provide several different kinds of services such as: Administrative, Operational, Financial, Information Technology, and many more. The goal of the Trivergent Health MSO is to support, unify, and streamline the non-healthcare functions of the three regional healthcare systems in Western Maryland: Western Maryland Health System, Meritus Health, and Frederick Regional Health System. By pulling these services out of each hospital individually, Trivergent is able to use the same staff, as sometimes less staff, to provide a better level of support, service, and expertise at a reduced overhead cost.
