Traveling to Japan

During April 1st through the 7th, I want to visit Tokyo, Japan. Although there are many places in Japan that are fun to tour and visit I believe Tokyo is a city for the shoppers and those who want to be in the more modern part of Japan. April 1-7 is the season where it starts getting hot and is beautiful with the cherry blossoms blooming to show off their beauty.

On April 1st, I will be taking Delta Airlines to Narita International Airport from Portland International Airport. Taking this plane, I will land in Narita at 9:45. I will be staying at Hilton Hotel in Tokyo Bay for the whole week.

The first day in Tokyo, I will go to Tokyo Bay shopping center and Ginza. My addictions to shopping cannot be stopped in Tokyo. Tokyo Bay is a large shopping mall in the heart of Tokyo houses having hundreds of stores and entertainment facilities perfect for all types of shoppers. Tourists, like me, can spend the day roaming the grounds and discovering new shops, movies, and several gourmet restaurants and cafés. Then I will eat steak at Oregon Bar & Grill. Yum! The second day I will go to Tokyo Tower to tour the beautiful scenery of the city of Tokyo. The third day my plans are to visit the Nishi- Shinjuku skyscraper district, the fourth day the beautiful Ueno Park is next! Enjoying the wonderful weather and calming myself with the nature in Ueno Park. The last day I will visit Disney Land and Disney Sea!

When coming back to Portland, Oregon I will leave Narita International Airport at 3:25! Overall this trip will cost me about $7,783. $4,338 will be the cost of the airplane, $1,545 will be the hotel, $750 will be the food, and $1,150 will be for shopping. A lot of money will be going into this trip to Tokyo but will be used for the sake of traveling a new city.

When my family and I were on vacation in Connecticut we decided to go the New York City. We got up in the morning and drove to the train station. We rode the train into Grand Central Station, it was very beautiful. The ceiling in the station was high and there was loads of light coming in from the windows. After we arrived at the station we walked to the Natural History Museum. We looked at all the exhibits, they were amazing and very interesting. Then we went to Central park and walked around for two miles. My family and I went to this pond in Central park that had a ton of turtles popping in and out of the water. Finally my family and I went to Times Square, it was absolutely amazing! The bright billboards were extremely cool! We walked around…

Tokyo is the world's most populous metropolitan area and is the center of Japanese culture, finance, and government. A bustling cosmopolitan city, Tokyo is also a major transportation hub and a world economic and industrial center. The city boasts a large number of world-class institutions of higher education, the highest concentration of universities in Japan. Tokyo was known as Edo until 1868, when the Japanese imperial family was moved there from Kyoto. Metropolitan Tokyo is generally defined as the four prefectures of Tokyo, Saitaima, Kanagawa, and Chiba, while the city of Tokyo proper usually refers to the 23 wards in Tokyo prefecture itself. The metropolitan area includes the major cities of Yokohama (the second largest city in Japan), Kawasaki, and Chiba, as well as rural mountain regions west of the city, the Izu Islands outside Tokyo Bay, and the Bonin Islands to the southeast in the Pacific Ocean.…

My eyes looked hypnotized as I gazed at my surroundings like an alien among the natives. Eventually, I turned the key to my cubicle sized hotel room. No larger than a prison cell, it contained a toilet with more buttons than a TV remote & a tub only long enough to accommodate a pygmy. I ditched my bags & set out to explore. To experience a culture so exotic from my own & to fall in love with it so quickly was surreal. To describe Tokyo, take the grandeur of New York, mix it with the energy & lights of Las Vegas & then multiply it by a hundred, that’s Tokyo.…

In this essay I will be talking about the city of Tokyo. Tokyo is well known and is very interesting with many great attractions and a huge economy. Tokyo is the capital of Japan and is the most densely populated cities of the country. Since ancient times, the city has been one of the most densely populated cities of the country. Tokyo is the largest metropolitan area in the world. The Tokyo metropolis was formed in 1943. Tokyo was originally a fishing village named Edo. Tokyo isn’t just a city, it is a megacity. Tokyo is great now but just 400 years ago this global powerhouse was little more than a backwater castle town on the shores of the muddy Sumida River. Over the past century it has been twice virtually annihilated. It almost first collapsed during the 1923 Great Kanto earthquake and subsequent firestorm, and again in 1945 after the devastation of the Allied bombings. Each time it has risen like a phoenix from the ashes, reborn in an ever-more-modern reflection of itself. Tokyo know shines and is a great city to be a part of.…

Wishing to visit Japan is one thing I always wanted. Even though I don't speak Japanese, there are things do and places to go that don’t need language skills. There are plenty of wishes I would like to wish for, but visiting Osaka Japan is one of first one that I have in mind. Wishing to visit a place isn't really a wish because you can do it whenever you want if you have money. I wish to visit Japan not only because is a famous country, instead, is because I would love to interact into a different culture. I choose this wish since money is a problem when talk about vacations. For example, when people talk about vacation, the first thing they think about is money. Since money is the lead into do whatever you like, going to an expensive place would be impressive. I prefer this wish than others because visiting a far place will not be an opportunity that I would have every day. In addition, I would love this wish since life is about time I want to pass some of that time being happy and free from problems.…
