When Columbus found the new world it had a large impact in the trade system and in economics at this point the new world started to getting settled. The new world is filled with many resources like new crop of tobacco and sugar can. As a result the Spanish come to American to invest in the new world to support their plantations and production growth they need a labor forces. That’s how the labor system in new world started out with the encomienda system was created by the Spanish to Christianized the natives in exchange of the Native Americans becoming their labor force. This eventually leads to triangular trade which drastically impacts the North American colonies from 1600-1763 resulting in continuity and change in the labor system.
As people realize that profits can be made in America more settlers came over as well as indentured servants through the head right system which gave about 50 acres to colonists who brought indentured servants into America. However the fostering change was the different labor group that were replacing each other for instance the native Americans were the first labor group that work in American but due disease got replaced and the trans-Atlantic trade invited the new force which were indentured servant who work on small farm as a result of the triangular trade growing and there was need for stronger labor force and indentured servants were also replaced for a more cheaper and reliable source that was African slavery. Through there was a problem in the African slavery forces because of the racial discrimination that led to the event of the civil war which ended slavery and resulted in both whites and blacks ending up as equally parts in the work
