Crime will always be around, someone will always want to have control, power and want to have money. Once they have had money they want more and more which in this case it leads to some people to become corrupt. The criminal justice system has had a positive impact in society by rehabilitating those who have the will power to change the trend cycle. Community policing has been around for quite some time community it has helps in many ways for example scanning, analysis, response and assessment. According to Community Policing scanning, analysis, response and assessment are positive trends in community police that have helped society become better citizens and lower the crime rates. Scanning is to identify and listing problems, analysis is to research what is known about the problem. Response to develop solutions to bring lasting reductions in the number and extent of problems. Assessment to evaluate the success of the responses by using the crime triangle to focus on immediate conditions such as the victims, offender, and the location. Community policing promote organizational strategies which support the systematic use of partnerships and problem-solving techniques, to proactively address the immediate conditions that give rise to public safety issues such as crime, social disorder, and fear of crime. According to Victor, J. L., & Naughton, J. Making the Evidence-Based Model Realistic Weisburd proposes making the evidence-based model more realistic. This can be done Streamlining, building, devising, and reinforcing. Streamlining is the process of developing evidence and completing evaluations. Building an infrastructure to ensure that studies do not reinvent the wheel. Devising methods for getting studies off the ground faster, such as encouraging funders to help in the development efficient experimental studies. The reinforcing is a culture that emphasizes the exploration which programs and practices do and do not work. What are trends that have impacted the past, present, and future in the criminal justice system? According to Organized crime are involved in several illegal activities which have become trends over the years such as illegal Pornography, prostitution, drug trafficking, arm trafficking, contraband smuggling, countering, gambling, environmental crime, labor racketeering and high-tech crimes. Pornography include homosexual pornography, addressing both male and female audiences; child pornography, depicting children in sexually explicit acts and aggressive pornography, portraying violent sexual elements that include sadomasochism, fetishism, bondage, and even snuff films, depicting sex and murder. The FBI report a series of “extortionate tactics prevalent in the illegal porn industry: a requirement that film producers distribute through organized crime controlled companies under threat of piracy, burglaries of independent retail outlets, strong-arm tactics against theater owners screening pirated versions of organized crime-controlled films.” Prostitution themselves when they use their bodies as a commodity in exchange for material gain, such as money, clothes, apartments, promotions, or entertainment. Prostitution occurs in a variety of formats and venues, including the streets, massage parlors, brothels, bars, and hotels. Drug trafficking importing or exporting illegal drug such as cocaine, heroin, marijuana, methamphetamine and ecstasy. Trafficking of arms between the United States and international countries.
