Treaty of Versailles, making peace between Germany and the ratifying allied powers, NOW IN EFFECT!
The signing of the treaty began at the Palace of Versailles on June 28, 1919 at 2:20pm, Paris time. This was the only way that the allies of Germany could officially end military actions. So the Germans were made to accept the responsibility of starting WWI, having to accept to the 14 points, a set of principles that President Wilson believed should guide peace making once the War was over, and deal with the disarmaments such as reducing military and weapons. In the treaty a lot of Clauses stated punishment for WWI, and article 231, one of the main Clauses blamed Germany for all loss of life, property and for all the damage and starting the war. “The Allied and Associated Governments affirm and Germany accepts the responsibility of Germany and her allies for causing all the loss and damage to which the Allied and Associated Governments and their nationals have been subjected as a consequence of the war imposed upon them by the aggression of
Germany and her allies.” This means that Germany now has to pay all country for losses plus damage, exactly what the Government wants meaning Germany can never have the power or money to start a war again. The Big Three wanted Germany weakened as the revenge for War.
The Germans signed first followed by the Big Three, M. Clemenceau, President Wilson and Mr Lloyd. In a statement made by Herr Muller, one of the German peace signatories and a leader of the Social Democrats. He said, “I believe that the Entente will not insist on the delivery of the ex-Kaiser and other high officials of the trial.
One party absent from the trial, were the Chinese Delegates who refused to sign the Peace Treaty because they were not allowed to make reservations concerning the Disposition of Shantung. The crowd cheered as M. Clemenceau and Mr Lloyd as they emerged from the Palace of Versailles.
Shortly after at 3:00pm, the Peace Conference assembled. The Germans entered quickly, saying that they would use every means every means to meet the terms. When all signatures were gathered, the Salvoes of Artillery announced that the world peace had been signed. Wilson then wanted all countries to join the League of Nations to resolve disputes peacefully
As Germany’s admission of the defeat.......... still to be added.
Though it will be difficult for all countries to recover, especially Germany, whose country is severely damaged by War. And if the refusal to co-operate with any of the terms, it will be their loss once again with also the two million deaths in Germany due to the War.
The question arises has the conference brought any of the world’s problems to peace?

WWI began on July 28, 1914, with the assassination of the Archduke Franz Ferdinand by a secret group of people who originated from Serbia. Wilson’s perception of a necessary League of Nations and his ever present stubbornness weren’t the only factors in Wilson’s demise, he also was unable to predict failure brought on by an exclusively Democratic group of diplomatic advisors. Some of the most important clauses of the treaty was that Germany had to give up certain parts of her European territories and colonies, and limit the size and power of her army and navy (Articles 159-213). Articles 45-50 states that the Saar Basin, an important coal area, was to be owned and controlled by France because of the destruction of the coalmines north of France.
