Trayvon Martin Case
Trayvon Martin case Trayvon Martin, A black teenager’s last phone conversation was with his girlfriend before he was shot in Florida; the 17-year-old was being stalked from the suspect and was killed on February 26th by a neighbor watch volunteer in the community where the shooting took place.
Gorge Zimmerman, the suspected killer, admitted shooting Martin with his 9-milimieter pistol and said he “acted in self-defense,” even though the teen was unarmed and Zimmerman has not been arrested. The justice Department has been investigating the case, but Zimmerman is still walking free; however, supports of the teen’s family say that the response has been inadequate and is too late, especially when evidence has already been given, which are the phone records. After hearing the recording of the phone calls it shows evidence of Martin being followed while talking to his 16-year-old girlfriend who name is unknown. According to the phone call he walked in the rain toward a relative’s home after buying candy at a store nearby. The phone call continues to go on as his girlfriend tells him to run. I am here now with Martin’s girlfriend; however, she asked for her face not to be seen.
-What happened after you told Martin to run?
“The phone call ended abruptly.”
-Did you hear a gunshot?
“No, I didn’t hear it… I only heard a scuffle.”
-Thank you, for your time.
*Girlfriend walks away*
Even if she did not hear a gunshot close by residents did. Evidence shows that Zimmerman had called 911 minutes before it happened, it was clear that he was following Martin before the shooting. He said “He’s just staring…looking at all the houses, Zimmerman said in between answering questions from the operator about his location and the appearance of the person he was watching. “Now he’s coming toward me…something’s wrong with him. Yep, he’s coming to check me out. He’s got something in his hands. I don’t know what his deal is.” He also added that the man began running and he

Ever been accused of manslaughter or been called a racist?Well, George Zimmerman has, in the Trayvon Martin case. Many people believe that if you are accused of murder like George Zimmerman does. They will just call you a racist and a murderer. Opinion and facts is a big part of this case, and obviously, he was the one who kill Trayvon Martin. However, he still has pleaded not guilty because he claims that it was just self-defense and not murder. Eventually, Zimmerman won the case because verdict found him not guilty, and a jury of six women found him also not guilty. I think that some people didn’t believe about Zimmerman claim; at the same time, some people may believe it.…

The team is willing to go to any lengths to manipulate the truth to achieve the most sensational story. Martin crouches in front of the house to create a fake impression of danger "Crouching, because it makes me look like I'm in danger", his cameraman replies with "Mate the gunman is 5km away". Martin replies with "Shut up its dark, no ones going to know" clearly shows the manipulation of truth to create a more interesting story. When Mike concludes his live feed from Martin he finishes with "Martin Di Stazio, Live from the line of fire" a term generally associated with soldiers under attack in war, thereby creating a false, and totally fabricated context.…

A.) Introduction: The tragedies that consumed our world has devastated the African-American culture. The shooting of Trayvon Martin and the Lynching of Emmitt Till are oh so similar. it is a total shame that we have not progressed one bit in leading people into a loving non hating century. but that is not the case for these two fellow black men. My first evidence is that racism is very much alive. Secondly how both murders that killed both of these young boys weren't convicted even with evidence. And lastly We have not come the least bit far. instead of lynchings there are shootings.…

Coming from someone who you can easily catch walking around with a drink and candy in hand while wearing a hoodie on I have never once thought I might look suspicious and end up murdered from these actions. Luckily, I am white and not the main attraction for suspicious activity as those who are black. This common assumption really bothers me, because there are bad people out there and there are good people as well, but the color of their skin doesn’t define if you’re good or bad. Trayvon Martin never showed any suspicious behavior to proceeded Zimmerman to think he was about to partake in a violent crime. Crime is a violation of a norm that has been codified into law. No matter, what the ruling was there is no way to go around the fact that…

This incident could easily be him 35 years ago as a young person dealing with racism in America. Concern that African Americans think that this case developed on race. A belief in the legal system would have a different outcome if Trayvon were white. Even after juror number B37 came out stating that race had no issue to the outcome of the case. Both the jury and legal experts stated that Zimmerman and Trayvon made poor judgment the night, which led to the death of Trayvon. Statements by the jury referring the only reason for Zimmerman 's acquittal because the way the "stand your ground" law is written. This article also provided some good highlighted points. The president encouraged his audience to support and encourage the young people of this country by helping them achieve and succeed in life. To be more influential and guide them on the right track. If the young people do not have the support from family, friends, neighbors, and the community, who will help them stay on the righteous path (Obama,…

The position taken in this article is the author believes that Zimmerman was guilty and not convicted. Some of the facts that were used were that “Martin was taller and more athletic and heavier then Zimmerman”, and probably could have out ran or out fought him. The author assumed that Zimmerman lied about the self-defense wounds. He believes that it could have happened in a different way. He also believes that Zimmerman shot Martin just because he wanted to. He also questioned whether justice was done. There is a lot of outrage concerning this matter since it has been in the national spotlight. I would have liked to have seen more facts which supported the case, and less of his own opinions. I do believe that this author is bias. He does use a few unreasonable assertions to make his points. His opposition is in an unfair light; really all you are reading about is his opinion and not the facts about the case. He does fail to recognize his position, because all he talks about is the position that he takes on this matter. I believe the facts that he left out is important information. No evidence was shown it is all based upon his assumption. I believe for this to be an improvement of the article, he would have to tell both sides of the story and not be bias on just pointing out his thoughts. He should also print facts containing both sides of the case. This was highly publicized and controversial; a lot of people believe it was so publicized because it was a “race issue”. This story will not go away soon, people are outraged about this.…
