Have you ever felt that urge to go somewhere else, somewhere you can escape and just relax? Have you ever considered someplace that is so magical that you think you can only see it in your dreams? Well Positano is the place for you! You never know exactly what to expect when you first visit somewhere new, but your stay in Positano I can assure you is going to exceed all expectations. This small village located in Campania, Italy, is the perfect spot when you are searching for the most astounding and relaxing time of your life. Definitely a village like Positano is something made out of a fairytale with its towering and steeply stacked houses of mainly peaches, pinks and terra-cotta's, and its narrow streets and steps that are set amidst the rocks offering spectacular views of the ocean.

All the flamboyant and elaborate stores lined up next to one another, the elegant hotels and restaurants all with beautiful views of the unbelievably enchanting blue and green water are situated on an enclave on the face of a hill and end down towards the waters of the Amalfi Coast. Positano lies at the Southern feet of Mount Lattari which shields it from the North-winds, that is why Positano has the benefit of a mild, placid, dry climate. Some say that the best time to visit Positano is in spring time when there aren't a numerous amounts of tourists everywhere. In addition everything blossoms with greens and colorful flowers, moreover you may be glad to acknowledge that Positano hotels cost even much less in spring time than in any season.

In the medieval times Positano was a small port located in the Amalfi Republic which prospered during the 16th and 17th century, but around the mid-19th century the town was facing hard times and because of that half of the population emigrated mostly to Australia.
