Transgender Identity Papers
1. As I listened to the man who was talking about his father beating him, I felt so many emotions rushing through my body.
Since I was a child, I have been whopped a lot, but I have never been beaten before. When he said that his father would beat him, he would tell him that it hurt him more than it hurts you. My family always says that! However, we would get whooping and not beatings. Beating someone is not love and definitely not a way to make someone learn from their mistakes.
2. It made me smile when I listened to the man who lost his arms and legs finally found love on the internet
Handicap people need love too! This story was very inspirational and motivational. We have to be true to ourselves, no matter our differences. He did not give up on love, and when he finally discovered that right person who accepted him for who he was, he found his destiny. He had a great personality that seems to always look at the positives more than the negatives. He gave me hope that I will find love one day.

What a beautiful transgender woman!
She was beautiful on the inside and out. Her first true love was when she was twelve years old, and she was so scared to tell that person because she did not think he would accept her for whom she was. When she finally had her transformation she felt better about herself. It was nice to hear that her first love is now her best friend, and actually did accept her for who she is now. We are all different, but very unique in various

Kenneth Littleton Crow, a handicapped comedian, was my favorite comedian from the “Able to Laugh” comedy video. In his skits, Kenneth brings up wheelchair accessibility as well as interactions between disabled and non-disabled people. He jokes about how people do not always want to look at him while talking because they are uncomfortable or, how they do not know what to say to him because they feel bad for him. In the video Kenneth stated, “If they just stopped for a minute and thought well…you know maybe they’re not any different from me” (1:54). I completely agree with his message of breaking down former attitudes, building up feelings of mutual respect, and providing knowledge of life with a disability is like.…

In chapter 2, she tells how “(she) didn't want to be different” and how “(She) longed to be everything grownups wanted, so they would love me.” She wanted to be the same and to fit in but in her heart, she knew she was different. She had/went through an identity crisis because as she stated, “no one ever offered a name for what was wrong with me. That's what made me afraid it was really bad.” She was stuck between of worlds of both genders. I feel very sympathetic with her because I’m sure everyone goes through an identity crisis at certain points in their lives but to have an identity crisis about the very…

If a daughter sees her father hitting and belittling her mother all the time, chances are she will grow up believing that, that is how she is supposed to be treated. This again is a great example of the social theory. It has been said that children learn what they live and chances are if a child is raised in a home where there is domestic violence then they will grow up to be the abuser and or the victim of abuse. Emotional abuse is just as bad as physical abuse the only difference is bruises go away and words once spoken don’t, words stay with a person forever. There is no reason for domestic abuse of any type, and if there is it should not go unreported.…

Gender identity is the belief that one is male or female. There are many different factors that come into play with gender identity. It is not a simple process of what one looks like, but more complex. There are people born with male parts, some with female parts and even some born with both parts. For example, a hermaphrodite is a person born with ovarian and testicular tissue and an intersexual is born with either testes or ovaries but prenatal hormones produce their external genitals to be more like the opposite sex. This is very confusing to those experiencing it and we must gain more knowledge in order to correctly…

On one end of the spectrum is the parents that take things extremely too far. They would leave extremely large bruises or even break children’s bones. Some parents did it out of anger and some sadistic parents did it for the sheer pleasure of inflicting pain on another human being, even if it is an innocent child. Loving parents use an affectionate hand to swat their child’s behind, not out of anger, but because they believed what their child was doing was wrong and they wanted to correct the behavior for the greater good. Children love you unconditionally and do not understand what they did wrong when the parent just hits them for no good reason. Courts have a difficult time now days convicting the parents that are abusing their child; this comes from a lack of evidence on whether or…

Psychological androgyny is when one’s personality traits are capable of being two different things at once. For example, one who is aggressive is also nurturant at the same time no matter the gender. Advantages of this area is that one can use many traits to achieve a desire or talent. Not all kids who experience abuse will become behavioral problems, but some of them do. Studies have found abused and neglected children to be at least 25 percent more likely to experience problems such as delinquency, teen pregnancy, low academic achievement, drug use, and mental health problems (Kelley, Thornberry, & Smith, 1997). Some children who have been abused use the same methods when they have children of their own. When a person has been a victim of abuse, they will often abuse their children or even their spouse the same way they were abused during their childhood. In the book “Breathing Underwater”, Nick, the main character, slaps his girlfriend during an argument. I think he only does this because of the way his father has mentally and physically abused…
