With so much gratitude, I would like to express a very specials word of thanks, first of all to my parents, who have supported me all along from the beginning of my studies, and to every person who become a big part for me to complete this on-the-job training. A special thanks to my instructors, who had passed to qualify for an OJT my grateful thanks go to our practicum coordinator Mrs. Donna liza T. Lawilaw of Mines View Park Hotel Inc. the supervision and support that gave truly help the progression and smoothness of the internship. Not to for get the staff of Mines View Park Hotel Inc, to ma’am Jena, ma’am Karen, Chef Quintin, chef bong, Sir Bayani, Sir Zaldy, Sir Rocky for the great contribution and hard working all works and duties during the program would be nothing with the enthusiasm and imagination from them. These internship program makes me realized the value of working together as a team and as a new experience in working environment, which challenges us very minute , the true value of friendship and respect of each other. Great deals goes to the contribution of my college University Of Baguio. Special thanks also go out to my friends especially those who worked together as OJT’S at Mines View Park Hotel Inc. The sincerest thankfulness to our almighty father for endowing me such a great opportunity to have this meaningful experience that allowed me to gain so much knowledge which are fundamental for my future ventures. iii
On the job training on OJT is one method by which student is a give a chance to apply the theories that they have learned from the four corner of their classroom. It also helps the student to Acquires relevant knowledge and skills by performing in actual working setting. Colleges and universities require their students to undergo such training within specific number of hours as part the of curriculum. For the student, an OJT or internship program provides opportunities to go through the actual methodologies of a specific job using the real tools. Equipment and document in work place becomes a development venue for a student trainee to learn more about his chosen field and practice what he has learn from the institution. On the other hand, an effective OJT program also benefits the companies who accept trainee. First OJT or intern provides additional manpower for a lesser labor cost than a regular employee, most of them are all eager to learn the ropes so chances are high that they will cooperate. Employee can use this internship strategy as a method in recruiting new employees. Since the trainer or the supervisor can follow the trainee’s progress, he can gauge based on performance, behavior and attitude if the trainee will make a good recruit a after the completion of this internship. OJT’S can bring fresh idea in the organization given the opportunity to speak their minds freely and without fear. They may be able to contribute significantly in brainstorming sessions and research and actually help improve the organization productive while training the interns, employer are also teaching their employees the process of guiding the trainees, stretches their patience, develops teaching skills and makes them more sensitive to the needs and mind...
