Traditional System of Life Cycle Development
The Traditional Life Cycle

Whatever methodology you selected, you would likely find four common threads - analysis, design, "programming", and implementation. Programming here may be loosely interpreted to include packaged software and even outsourcing, which will be addressed shortly.

It seems somewhat obvious that before you can create, improve, or replace an information system, you should stop to study the current system, whatever it might be, to see how it operates. Instead perhaps you should start from scratch to create a new mousetrap. From Childrens' Letters to God: Dear God, Instead of letting people die and having to make new ones why don't you just keep the ones you have now. Eric L.

Dear God, Maybe Cain and Abel would not kill each other so much if they had their own rooms. It worked with my brother. Larry

Dear God, Why is Sunday school on Sunday? I thought it was supposed to be our day of rest. Tom L.

This challenge is know as the "Gordian Knot." An ancient tale speaks of a king of Gordon who tied a very difficult knot. He offered the hand of his daughter to the man who could untie it. Many men tried unsucessfully. Finally a man came along who raised up his sword and with a mighty blow cut the rope. That man was known as Alexander the Great. Many would say that he did not "follow the rules". Others would say that he established new rules where none existed.

Mr. Hays made a strong argument about the Sabbath law and about people who goes to church on Sundays. He thinks that this law should be arbitrary to determine the law. Because of Jesus’ resurrection on the first day of the week and His continued appearances on the next few Sundays, Christians worship on Sundays. ( Matthew 28:1, John 20:26, Acts 2:1).…

First cold of the school year not that bad right? But over fall break I gained my focus back and I am “beating” myself up for not doing my homework but at least I got my basement, soon to be room painted. The bad thing about colds is they are like a roller coaster you feel fine one minute and the next you feel like your “dying”. This is not how I wanted my week back from an overwhelming and stressful break. This had made me think about what we discussed about in spiritual formation about the Sabbath. I have grown up and even taught what the Sabbath was, but as I get older I realize how important it is to take a break and relax at least once a week. I mean God would not have made it if we did not need it. I am beginning to come to terms with…

When an individual’s future might seem ensured, such as a foreseeable position, conflict can be the kiss of death. After all, that is exactly what happened within a Greek-letter organization at Robert Morris University whenever conflict ensued between a chapter’s President and the Ritual Chair. Essentially, when it came time to select the chapter's new Executive Committee for the 2017 calendar year, the Ritual Chair was viewed as many to most likely become the next President as she had become an extremely influential and promising leader. However, having a say in the new positions, the President did everything in her power to ensure the Ritual Chair was not selected to be the next President, but rather saw to it she was appointed to a position…

If we are talking about human resources then you will find that your team members end up stretched and pulled all over the place once the work starts to pick up in earnest. In terms of other resources such as office equipment, it can be important to plan well ahead and order anything you are going to need a long time before you actually need it.…
