TOURISM IN NEPAL Nepal is a beautiful country. She has high mountains, deep valleys beautiful lakes, thick green forests with variety of birds and animals, water fall and fine flora and fauna. Moreover, there are many ancient temples and historical places with fine work of arts in wood and metal. People from different countries of the world visit Nepal to admire scenic beauty and cultural heritage. Nepal has many places of interest of tourists. The ancient temples and palaces in Kathmandu valley, many caves and lakes in Pokhara, sanctuaries in Chitwan, Bardia and Koshi Tappu, historical sites in Lumbini and Jankpur are important tourist destinations. Many tourists come to Nepal specifically for trekking and mountain climbing. Some go for rafting in our big rivers and boating in lakes. Tourism industry has many advantages. Tourists come of s to admire our scenic beauty, unity, culture and society. Firstly we can earn foreign currency. Money spent by them for food, lodging, transportation and sightseeing is one of the major sources of income of our country. Secondly, tourists need some guides. Our people work as tourists guides. Thirdly, many restaurants, lodges, hotels, motels have to be established to meet the need of the tourists. People can find jobs in these places. Fourthly, tourists buy Nepalese products and carry them to their countries as souvenirs. It helps to promote our culture abroad. Fifthly we can be in touch with multicultural people, people of different cultures. Sixthly, they help to promote cottage industry and hotel industry and hotel industry both as tourist come to us, some new and good hotels have to be built. Seventhly, the people will be acquainted with the people of different countries. Tourism in Nepal faces many problems. They don't feel secured. They are also not treated. We lack hospitality. Tourists are even killed. There are not even good hotels and lodges. Moreover, many beautiful parts of the country are road less.
