Touching Lives In what other profession can you touch lives the way you can in the healthcare industry? You could help bring life into the world, or save a life from ending. You can transform lives, impacting families the way only healthcare professionals are ingenuous to do. Not only will you impact individuals, you could also make an impact on entire communities providing healthcare in a variety of forms. I wish to pursue a healthcare career because I want to make a difference in people’s lives. I feel that I have the passion and aspiration to be an efficacious worker. I am a very nurturing and caring person who enjoys helping others who are in need of help. In my opinion I believe that every healthcare provider’s duty is to always make positive lasting impressions on people they come into contact with because people need a provider who they can trust in their time of need. Having a career in the healthcare industry is my ultimate goal in which with hard work and self motivation intend to succeed.
The day I began accomplishing my goals was the first day of my junior year at Center for career and technology education. I began learning the many wonders that consist in our human bodies. The functions of the human body and the effects of the environment, drugs, and genetics on humans never failed to catch my high interest. Since that day on it was all about anatomy, medical ethics and health science my absolute passions. I learned skills such as the proper way to make a hospital bed, hear blood pressure sounds, and how to properly wash hands .I participated in “Teddy Bear Clinic” were I taught elementary students EMT skills that are performed during any type of emergency call and It was love at first sight. Since that very moment studying for the EMS field caught my absolute attention. I knew It was the program I wanted to join for my senior year and out of 26 students and only 16 spots available I was one of the lucky ones who got in. Throughout my EMT course
