Gay Marriage Why do people care if homosexuals get married? Gay marriage should be legalized in Georgia. Gay marriage is a highly talked about topic in this world. There are people out there that support gay marriage and there are also people out there that are totally against it. That is just everybody opinion, why does not matter if you are happy? People should not judge others for liking the same sex as themselves. I am a firm believer on let people be happy and let them do what makes them happy. Some people think they can relate to their own sex more than their opposite sex. People that are all about Christianity do not think it is right for homosexuals to get married. God does not like homosexuals but I think he put everyone on other for a reason. No matter what, you can say all day long oh since your gay that means you are going to hell which is not true. There are several different reason why gay marriage should be legalized in Georgia, equal rights, also because you cannot really control who you like and being able to express yourself and not be judged because it is currently illegal for homosexuals to marry in Georgia. When it comes to gay marriage I am fine with it because everybody has equal rights in Georgia. I think with people not being able to marry their same sex is taking their equal rights away from them. That is not fair for their equal rights to be taken away because they like what they like. Yeah, you might not like gay marriage together but me on the other hand as long as they are happy with their life and getting treated the way they should then why does it matter what everybody else thinks. I look at it if you are happy with who you are with you, should be able to marry them no matter what. Even if they are the same sex as you. Just because you do not want gays to get married in Georgia does not mean you have to take their rights from them that is wrong on so many levels. “Men

Nomads were wanderers that had no technical home. Four groups of nomads were the Turks, Afghan and Seljuk, the Vikings, the Mongols, and the Huns. When the Mongols went to Europe, they brought the Bubonic Plague; they caused the reunification of the Russians, and helped start Pax Mongolica. They allowed the conquered to keep their ways of life and religions as long as they obeyed the foreign rulers. The decentralization of Japan and Western Europe was helpful and a hindrance by being more organized, using feudalism and causing more chaos.…

Every one of the characters in “The Raisin in the Sun” by Lorraine Hansberry, had a dream which involved an insurance check they received after the death of Lena’s husband. Lena dreamed to have a home of her own and to see her children accomplish their own dreams. Beneatha dreamed to become a doctor and to find the correct way to “express” herself. Ruth dreamed to be wealthy and have a happy family and Walter dreamed one day to be the owner of a business and become a "real man". It is these dreams that serve to explain the personality of the characters, provide a meaningful context for the development and decline of conflicts between them, and help the readers either admire or revile them.…

The book of Proverbs is a book that can provide us with wisdom and knowledge for effective every day living. Proverbs supply wisdom for all people regardless of their age, sex or position in society. God wants his people to be wise and informed with quality applications for a successful and blessed lifestyle. An attribute to possess in order to obtain great wisdom on diligence and laziness is first we must have the fear of the Lord. Proverbs 1:7 states “The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge: but fools despise wisdom and instruction.” According to that verse the fear of the Lord is an attitude of respect toward God, which means we do not want to displease God. In order to not displease God’s word in the book of Proverbs we must be willing to accept and try and live our life according to the wisdom that he has provided. Proverbs is like a manual for living an effective life. A wise individual will understand from the beginning we must know and follow God’s instructions of his word.…

My personal views on this issue changed a few years ago when watching the TV broadcast and something came up about the right for gays to marry. Previously I was personally indifferent but felt that marriage was as much a religious institution as a civil institution. After all, most marriages are performed by clergy and the majority are in religious settings. I felt that civil union met the needs of gays so why offend the religions? Then I saw an older woman interviewed and she had explained that she and her partner had been waiting 30 or 40 year for this day. They have lived together as a family and wanted to be married. That's about as successful as a married couple can be, still wanting to be married after all that time! And I thought, all Americans are entitled to their own pursuit of happiness. Gays who buy into a system of family values should have the same family rights as others. I also used to get grossed out when I hear same sex marriage, but then I look at Ellen DeGeneres, for example, she is the sweetest the person that could be. Opinions about same sex marriage crossed out so many times and places as well as thru out the years. Many say that time is changing and over the years people slowly will accept the gay marriage.…

Just because someone doesn’t love the same way as you do does not make them wrong or make them crazy, it makes them unique. Majority of people around the world feel that marriage should be between a man and a woman and that gays should not have that right because they believe being gay is morally wrong. If being gay is morally wrong then why are their gay people? That is like saying being white is morally wrong. People honestly who believe this don’t really stop and think outside the box and think that what is in the bible is right. If you look at the ethical reason behind why people believe that gay marriage is wrong, it is purely due to discrimination. There are no real reasons why gay marriage should not be allowed, there are only reasons based on opinions, and one's own bias reasoning.…

Gay marriages have been one of the hottest and controversial topics in our society. There are still problems concerning this issue of homosexuality and gay marriages. Same sex marriages are legal in Hawaii, but in all other states couples must be of the opposite sex to form a marriage. Hawaii’s decision to legalize same sex marriages is considered a milestone victory for gays and may cause a ripple affect for similar action in other states. Those who support gay marriages justify their position by the concept of love. These supporters of gay marriages feel as though gay people are being deprived of their right to love. Many people believe that gay people deserve the right to love and to take that love and form a marriage. These people believe that gays want to feel justified, meaning that as a couple they should be able to define their own marriage for themselves and make their own set of rules. Supports of same-sex marriages feel as though homosexuals are being deprived of their God given right to get married. They believe that arguments against same sex marriages are unconstitutional, and they simply do not justify a ban on same sex marriages. It is not the idea of two people of the same sex getting married that frightens people so much, but it is the thought of change and the fact that the federal government will redefine marriage to allow same sex unions. When people picture the results of same sex marriages, they see images of unstable homes. Everyone would probably agree that homosexuality has changed our society, and legalizing same sex marriages is not likely to be an exception. It would be an injustice to discriminate against a person if he or she were…

    Same-Sex Marriage Equality

There are over 105 million households in the United States today and out of those households, there are over 1.2 million gay people living with same-sex partners (“Census on Gays in America”). This makes the proposed legalization of same-sex marriage one of the most significant issues in contemporary America. It is presently one of the most discussed reforms in law reviews and the American court systems. If legalized, it could be one of the most revolutionary policy decisions in the history of America, along with women’s rights, interracial marriage, and slavery. There are many people who are opposed and feel it is morally and ethically wrong and others who feel that same-sex marriages are acceptable. Prior to writing about this topic, I had no strong feelings toward or against the issue on same-sex marriages. After researching and finding out more information on the topic, I became in favor of legalizing same-sex marriages.…
