Introduction

Tomei is well known companies which established in 1968 with the commencement of business in design and manufacturing of jewellery also supplying to local jewellers. Tomei itself representing ‘Duo Mei’ in mandarin language which means beautiful as mentioned by the founder, it shows that they designed and produced jewellery that makes their customer glamorous.

The company was founded with a capital of RM15,000 where one of their main business is designs, manufactures and supplies jewellery items to local goldsmith shops and jewellers. As the business grew, this company venture towards establishment of their first outlet under Tomei brand which located at Campbell Shopping Complex in Kuala Lumpur and now stands as an Integrated Manufacturer and Retailer of Gold and Jewellery.

They have been accredited with ISO in Quality Management system for its retailing in jewellery by Lloyd’s Register Quality Assurance Kuala Lumpur in 2003. In line with the increasing demands, they have doing the increments amounts of their branches which major in the Malaysia, China and Vietnam. Currently, the branches are almost reached to seventy branches.

Addition, it is also included the fifteen kiosks within 5 major umbrella brands namely TOMEI, MY DIAMOND, T.H. JEWELRY, LE LUMIERE and GOLDHEART. In fact, they also step forward to exports the products to Indonesia, China, Hong Kong, Singapore, Thailand, the Middle East and Europe.

The Board of Directors actually were included by the family members itself and their roles also as to recognizes the importance of sound corporate governance and will continue to enhance its role in ensuring that the highest standard of corporate governance is practiced throughout the Group where the members of Board of Director, Tan Sri Datuk Ng Teck Fong as a Group Executive Chairman ,Datin Nonadiah Binti Abdullah as a Independent Non Executive Director,Raja Dato’Seri Aman Bin Raja Haji Ahmad stand as Independent Non Executive
