B. Essay There are many different viewpoints in educating children. In some countries, children have strict rules of behaviour; in other countries they are allowed to do anything they want. I believe that following strict rules as long as they are not too severe helps children become well-behaved people and keep away social evils. Rules of behaviour vary from country to country; children should be taught regarding their countries' traditions and customs. Children's behaviour and attitude need to be shaped as soon as possible. For instance, parents had better educate children about respect for the adults, good manner in communication and good virtues such as honesty, modesty as well. Therefore, when growing up, they will become well-behaved people who are always respected by others. Some opponents may argue that strict rules of behaviour can restrict the freedom and individuality of children. Admittedly, children should be given freedom in their own decision. However, without compulsorily necessary rules, they will easily lead a profligate life. In recent years, teenage crimes have been a worrying issue; many children in their adolescence had to be responsible for their crimes. Thus, parents ought to lay down appropriate rules to orient their children's awareness in right direction to protect themselves from social evils.
