ROLE MODEL, KIND, GRACIOUS AND NON-RACIST! Who does this describe in the feral town of Maycomb, littered with the lowest of the low white trash, racism and slavery which has become the fabric of their society? Racist views consumed the town, everyone adhering to the inhuman punishments forced upon Tom Robinston. Every person, except the ‘moral superhero’, ATTICUS FINCH. _____________investigates.

Atticus Finch... Father, lawyer, and the saviour of a society. What a man! He conquers racism while mentoring his two children, Scout and Jem, to be polite, wise, and well educated youth with the correct views of the world. We learn of Atticus’ wisdom towards his children, “You can never really understand a person until you consider things from his point of view-until you climb into his skin and walk around in it.”This adage teaches the two children, not to judge people without truly knowing them, displaying Atticus’ admirable insight to the world around him. I admire Atticus’ role model figure as opposed to our modern society parents like Charlie Sheen and Britney Spears who abuse the right to have children.
Not only is he there for them when they need him, but he passes on his high standards that keeps for himself. The aftermath of Bob Ewell attacking Jem left him unconscious, however, Atticus stayed by his side “He turned out the light and went into Jem's room. He would be there all night, and he would be there when Jem woke up in the morning.” This demonstrates Atticus’ father character, but also his heart of gold, one in which only a hero of society would own.
