Analysis of characters in To Kill A Mockingbird who wouldn’t go down without a fight There were several instances in the novel To Kill A Mockingbird in which the perseverance of characters was evident, especially with Mrs. Dubose, Atticus Finch, and Tom Robinson. In Mrs. Dubose’s case, she was informed that she was soon going to pass away but fought against her morphine addiction. Atticus Finch, on the other hand was well aware that he would lose the Tom Robinson case but proceeded to defend it. Along with Atticus, Tom thought he would either be killed soon or spend the rest of his life in jail, and decided to fight at the risk of death. Therefore, Mrs. Dubose, Atticus Finch, and Tom Robinson all refused to go down without a fight. Firstly,
