Factor bingo The students in Ms. Nomial’s Algebra class like to play Factor bingo. Every student gets a bingo card to play. The way Ms. Nomial plays it is that she writes polynomials on the board, the students have to fully factor each polynomial. After they have factored the polynomial they cover any of those factored that they have on their card. To win the games the first student must cover five in a row, column, or diagonal wins factor bingo. Ms. Nomial wrote $ polynomials on the board which are 20x^2-13x +2, 12x^3y-75xy^3, 6x^2+3y^2-8x-4y, and 2x^2+23x-24. In order to solve 20x^2-13x+2, I looked for the multiples of 20 and 2. Then I made sure they added up to 13. To do so I multiplied 5 x 4=20 and 2 x 1= 2. This makes the solution (5x-2) (4x-1). Now I solved 12x^2=23x-24. I did the same process and found the multiples of 12, 24, next I multiplied 3 and 4 and 6 and 2 to make 12, as for multiplies of 24 I remembered 8X3 and 6x4. I later used the guess and check method. I first tried 3 X 4 and 8 x 3. I checked my work by used foil (first, outside, inside, last), I succeeded in my first try. Next I solved 6x^2+3y^2-8x-4y. once again I used the same process I discovered the multiplies of 6x^2 and 4y which answer is( 3^2-4) (2x+4. So I double checked using foil. So now I have solved 6 squares which are C,H,I,X,O,V and w. The only polynomial that can possible give me a winning card is 2x (3x+11). The only square that isn’t filled is 2x and 2x and 3x+11 in the row were I have placed 3 squares covered. Making it the answer to win factor bingo. This would be something I would like to play in class. This would be fun yet educational and a nice reminder for factoring.

Miles Davis was one of the best jazz musicians in the history of jazz. His full name is Miles Dewey Davis III and was born on May 26th, 1926 in Alton, Illinois. Unlike many other notorious musicians Miles grew up in wealth His father was a superb dental surgeon in East St. Louis. He began playing the trumpet in his early teens and immediately excelled. Davis played in a couple of local St. Louis groups and in his high school band. His high school music teacher advised him to play without vibrato. There are three types of vibrato for trumpet players: lip, diaphragm, and hand vibrato. To perform a lip vibrato a trumpeter must move his lips in a chewing motion while playing longer notes during a solo. Similarly, a diaphragm vibrato is executed by varying the air supply with the muscle below your lungs. Finally, the hand vibrato is carried out by moving the trumpet lightly in circles while holding long notes.…

Solution. So while playing the game my partner had won every game. I could see she had a great strategy and we had took turns like if she went first then I would go first the next round. Then I saw that if we played 10 marks I had crossed out 2 she would cross out 3 then 5 were left over so I couldn’t cross out 4 or 5 only 1,2 or 3 . So I cross out 2 and she would cross out the rest. But when we played 15 I could see that if there were 5 left and I have crossed out 1 she could cross out the other 4.…
