How do you establish priorities? I establish my priorities by what is the most time sensitive or the most important thing that may need to be done. I try to make a list and as I complete the tasks at hand I check them off the list to that I know that I have completed them. I do this at home as well as at work. My support group is made up of the most important people in my life. My husband, mom, dad and sisters. I do not think that I would be able to do what I do without them in my life. They all make sure that I am on track. I know that if I needed them for anything that they would be there for me in every way that they can. With having so many people there for me it keeps me going. I do not want to let any of them down in any way, so I am always striving harder at my goals.
What is your backup plan in case your computer goes down?
If my computer goes down I have many other resources to ensure that I stay on task. We currently have two laptops in our house, my husband and mine. I can also go to my mother and fathers or my sister’s house. I have utilized everyone’s computers at one point in time so I know that they wouldn’t mind if something was to happen. The worst case scenario would be that I would have to go to my local library to complete the tasks.

Activities are everywhere and always in reach for one to engage himself or herself in. It is a matter of making the decision to get out of bed or to hop off the couch and decide to be active. During this course we were required to walk at least forty-five minutes each day which resulted in creating opportunities to sync into a healthier lifestyle. My results from this diagnostic survey on time management assured me that my time management skills are low. The survey revealed that I am on the bottom of the scale of time management. There were two sections of the survey. One section measured your time management skills in an office setting and the other section measured your time management skill in your personal life. By having two sections you can compare your time management skills for the two different settings. The total score measures your overall time management skills and it also puts the score in a category. My scores of 27 points for personal life and 31 points for office settings combines to a 58 point total score. My combined score falls in to the lowest category that suggests that training is necessary and will considerably enhance my effectiveness. The first step of solving a problem is identifying it. After taking this survey I have proof that my time management skills are low.…

Work and study commitments of full‐time undergraduate students at the University of New South Wales were investigated in four surveys conducted in 1994, 1999, 2006 and 2009. Respondents to the surveys reported the amount of time they spent during term time in paid employment, studying outside of formal class hours and in leisure activities (1999 and 2006 only). Fifty full‐time students in 2006 and 37 in 2009 who were identified through the survey as working in excess of 10 hours per week were interviewed about their work and study relationships. Findings are consistent with UK studies showing an increase in part‐time work by full‐time students. In addition, a steady decrease was found in hours of study outside normal class time and in time spent in leisure activities. Reasons for working offered by interviewees were predominantly financial although many reported that gaining work…

Priorities to me are things that have to get done by a certain time or with certain urgency. Establishing priorities is one of those things that are going to change from person to person or from day to day. For me as far as my schooling goes I have set a priority to not start on any assignments Tuesday-Friday until all of my responses are done for the day. Then I can start on one assignment in one class, if a class has more than one assignment I will complete on assignment in one class then start an assignment in the other class. When it is done then, back to the first class and finish the last assignment. I feel this gives every class proper attention.…

“How often do you find yourself saying, “In a minute”, “I’ll get to it”, or “Tomorrow’s good enough” and every other possible excuse that you come up with? Compare it with how often you decide it’s got to be done, so let’s get on and do it! That should tell you just how serious your procrastinating problem really is” (Stephen Richards). Time management is a serious problem with approximately 80% of the population. Many people don’t know how to use time. Time is limited, so we better spend it on some fancy things and not waste it. The problem with time is that people usually don’t meet the exact time that they already set. It seems like when it comes to use time, nothing take place exactly to what had been done. The biggest population that doesn’t know how to use time is those Marshallese people. They really don’t know how to be on time. There is the saying “Marshallese time” which means for example, if the event was suppose to start at 5, Marshallese time mean 6. They always get late and maybe they really get used to this late attitude. Time management means to manage your time wisely and use them for the most important reasons such as study and all that. A person that can’t manage his/her time is really in a mess, compared to those that can manage their time, their life is all organized. Learn to manage time is not an easy thing that you can just snap and you know how to do. You must actually learn how to do it. Take the fact that you got to learn it seriously. There are plenty ways you can learn how to control your time, but there are only three that I think is the most and reasonable that a person must do. The three ways to learn how to manage time is to take a time management course, priorities your task, and learn to reduce stress.…
